Giant Eagle Pharmacy reviews
10They are very busy at times but they get you in and out as quickly as possible, and very friendly. Thanks for your fast and friendly service.
They are always saying they are filling your prescription but when you go to pick it up it's not even in the store. They tell you it's on the next truck. Terrible service.
Literally waited 45 minutes in the drive they because there was one car in front of me absolutely ridiculous……
Try calling to seee if your prescription is filled already I've been on the phone for an hour and a half and no answer always I will connect you to the pharmacy I press zero 20 times and still nobody need to upgrade your calling system
This pharmacy always has friendly service and no problems. We switched all of our prescriptions to Giant Eagle from Martin's. The difference from the two is night and day.
Until recently I've had little/no problems with this pharmacy. That has changed however. I don't know if it's the Covid situation or a change of people working in the pharmacy but I'm very disappointed/annoyed right now. I recently called in a refill for medication and was told it would be ready the next day. No problem. However when I went to pick it up (made a special trip just for that) they only had five pills and owed me 85. Told they'd have the remainder the next day so I (wisely) called in first to check. They had received their shipment but hadn't filled 'scripts yet. They'd call when it was ready. Well.it's the next day - again and I'm still waiting on the call/prescription. Not happy at all. Luckily it isn't my seizure medication or I'd really be in a fix!
The pharmacist and their helpers are very professional and very easy going and very helpful and I always will get my prescriptions at Giant Eaglebecause you cannot beat the customer service and I think customer service is everything anywhere.
Always helpful and friendly. For those complaining about waiting a little extra, just stop it. You always want your prescription to be right. Sometimes you can get it quickly too. If you keep badgering the staff, they can't work, just be patient.
If you need a specific medication (generic/brand name) you're out of luck here because they basically tell you that you'll have to deal with what they have, or wait a few days while until they can get your inconvenient order sent out for your high demands (even if the SPECIFIC one needed is saved on file.) Then after they mess up your insurance because you had to go back again to get what you needed to begin with, they tell you it doesn't cover it anymore. Even after several months of this same circle. So then you change pharmacies to one that has it, AND it's also amazingly covered insurance. Problem solved.
My first Rx was miscounted by 30 pills. This was a medication that should have been counted twice. I called and felt like I was a person pharmacy hopping to get free drugs. The issue had to be referred outside the Indiana store. They finally admitted to miscounting my Rx. This pharmacy needs new management, it hasn't changed since the old store location. I have NO confidence in this pharmacy. Each person is very nice, collectively they are a disaster. I'm sorry to see such a blemish on the rest of the Giant Eagle store in Indiana.
