Giant Eagle Supermarket reviews
1611/11/20 - Again long checkout lines and no express check-out. Giant Eagle has no respect for its customers. Always has long checkout lines. It should not to 20 minutes to checkout. Giant Eagle has the highest prices in this area why can't they have enough cashiers?
Good, clean, well stocked grocery store. You can get help in here if you need it, to find those hard to find items. Curb side pick up is an option here as well. They actually offer customer service, I like that. Self check outs and several service check outs make for a speedy in and out.
Conveniently placed grocery store, placed in greenfield has the main essentials. Giant eagle in general sells their products at a slightly higher cost than its competitors, and they do carry a decent amount of meat free, dairy free and gluten free products. Overall, it is not layed out well and is always overcrowded and difficult to get through the lines in front of the store. If you suffer from anxiety DO NOT SHOP HERE.
Every time I've gone in to this giant eagle and went to the service desk to handle money transactions (load money to a card or cash a check or use western union) they don't have any idea how to do it only to be turned away and I've gone to the one in West view instead.
Any day i can find some random deals is a good one. Not sure which GE this is for but both had some good random clearance items.
Nice clean store. Selection is good but they didn't have organic sugar free preserves. Sometimes they run out of my preferred yogurt. Saturday evening is a good time to shop. Everyone wears masks and it's easy to socially distance. One way aisles are pointless since everyone ignores them.
Nice people work there for the most part. Very convenient for me. Store always clean. I don't like that they are cancelling a lot of brand names and substituting their own brand. Just sends me to other stores to get the brands I prefer.
Pharmacy is absolute awful. Go anywhere else. I’ve never had so many issues filling prescriptions. Inexperienced people working every time I go. With no urgency for people who need these medications. I wait hours and have to constantly call back to check when they tell me a 20 minute wait. They tell me we’ll text you when it’s ready and leave me waiting with no texts ever coming. The last time it took me 4 days to get my prescription I’ve had filled a hundred times, for a rescue inhaler refilled because they “needed more directions”. They don’t call the correct doctors when they have a question about prescriptions. When the doctor says everything was sent correctly, there’s nothing else he could tell them. They continue to not accept any responsibility and make the customer call back and forth to the doctor then back to the pharmacy instead of handling it themselves. I will never be going to the giant eagle pharmacies again. I initially was going to the one in Settlers Ridge but they continuously messed up my prescriptions and thought I’d try a different one but they’re all awful.
I like this Giant Eagle because you have staff members like Mike in the Deli who knows you and remembers you and always has a smile on his face and generally loves what he does.
Shopping late at night is such a convenience.no crowd, no long lines. This Giant Eagle is neat n clean.and the fact that it's right up the way.sweet!
Has most everything you want. Prepared foods are better at other stores. Has beer, good meat, local and organic veggies and all the usual stuff. Decent cheese selection.
It's kind of grungy, the store is well organized but the location is worn down. The parking lot seems just short of collapse. But it's a Giant Eagle in a convenient location. So I can't complain too much.
Ever improving. Besides the benefit of buying local, the best thing about buying here is they keep the prices as competitive as feasible. Big fan of the deli on the go when I don't have time to stop for specific orders, plus a lunch cafe with alcoholic beverage option. 2 max btw, with food. Great store, and great location.
What I like most about this GE is the selection of groceries they carry in comparison to the local store. I make several domestic and international dishes that require unusual ingredients. The local store in Brighton Heights is more like going to a better "corner store" this definitely have a better selection. I have to say the Centre Avenue store is the best.
I love Giant Eagle. Some folks say they are expensive. If you're paying for value, then you're not overpaying. The quality of the goods and people are top-notch.
I love this giant eagle however I don't love the cubside pickup. I have used it multiple times and multiple times my order was wrong and I had to go in the store anyways! Sad because it was convenient for me. So I go to the cranberry store for curbside pickup it's excellent.
