Giant Eagle Supermarket reviews
22Well stocked shelves and great selection of fresh produce. A bit of a wait for the deli counter, but found what we needed at the quick deli grab and go kiosk. Good sale items and perks for discount on groceries or fuel. Convenient location.
I like this location a lot. There is a ton of variety and it is usually well stocked. You can also see them cleaning and sanitizing which is great! I also love the scan-pay-and go option because it makes shopping very quick and you can see your total as you go! The only reason it is not 5 stars is because the store gets INSANELY crowded on the weekends and there are just too many people in there for me to have a decent shopping experience.
Crowded lanes, very few scanners for Scan and Go shopping. Lots of empty shelves, especially in the dairy aisle. This Gina Eagle (Waterfront) has gone downhill since this pandemic started. I shop this location only when necessary.
Self checkout is fast but often problems occur. Usually it takes forever for someone to come and help but not this time at this store. Worker was fast and helpful.
Very clean, good amount of space, well stocked, huge selection. Lines are usually well staffed. If you can manage not to get side tracked you could get in and out quickly. I always get side tracked looking at deals and stuff.
Service was mediocre from the cashier. The more I shop at different Giant Eagles throughout the Pittsburgh area, the more I'm inclined to shop with your competition. I used to shop Giant Eagles almost exclusively because of your clean, organized stores, variety of brands and products and exceptional customer experience. Now I'm finding lackluster interest in help by your employees and sometimes complete disregard of any service. Not the Giant Eagle I used to regard as the best.
Tho disappointing they no longer have the family meal plan at the deli to save me from cooking on food shopping day.polite and helpful staff.
This supermarket has pretty much everything you might want, except a bulk foods section. But since it almost primarily offers self checkout aisles and there is often a wait. Since checkout is so slow, I now avoid going here. I prefer the way checkout takes place at ALDI’s. Curbside pickup is available here though I have now tried it and don’t know how effective and efficient it is.
Only 2 cashiers available. Lots of self checkouts. We have been in
line 20
minutes. No exaggeration.
Love this store. Spend most of my money here. Shopping service with pick-up has been a life changer and the shoppers have been very accurate and friendly. The store has a nice selection.
I am usually at this particular Giant Eagle once or twice per month. I often stop here after I shop at Aldi to complete my shopping list with whatever items Aldi may not have had in stock. They also have a large pharmacy area that has a good selection of soap, hair color, shampoo, and medicine. Their prepared section and cheese shop are huge. They also have a liquor store and bakery which are quite large.
I understand they have a curb side pick up service which I have not used.
Everything you need for a good shopping experience and public transportation at the doorway and had to wait for the deli employee to take his lunch witch I didn't mind considering the other giant eagle is non union and the employees don't get treated like human beings, and reflect that to the customers who like having a cashier and baggers and meet my needs
This store is big! I like it! Have a huge selection to choice from. Only issue I had was the one item I was looking for wasn't there. Other that. Great store.
Very rude i don't know the guys name but he is a black guy works at the register very mean and rude. No help you have to walk around the store 5 min before you can get help. Dislike this location
Other than battling all the traffic in the waterfront. That giant eagle has everything that a giant eagle superstore should have. The only downfall is that they leave one person in customer service and sometimes the line goes out the door.overall good experience
Good selection and produce is usually very fresh. I like the craft beer selection Prices are definitely a little higher than other stores. Cash register wait times are way too long sometimes. Would be nice if groceries we're bagged for you as well.
Giant Eagle is a Pittsburgh area stable for grocery shopping for decades. It's one of the best supermarket chains in the country.
Giant Eagle at the Waterfront offers affordable prices and shopping in a clean and comfortable environment with helpful and friendly staff
Very good place for grocery shopping. Parking is plentiful. Store ontinues to improve, pleasant staff, open to product suggestions.
It is ok. It's clean, doesn't smell. The few employees I interacted with were NOT friendly, certainly not "Meh, " just not nice or out going (towards me.)
