Giant Eagle Supermarket reviews
18It's to expensive compare to other food markets in area. There never enough sales or bargains to make my experience satisfying so I'll give it 3 stars.
Several employees not wearing mask properly. Allowing it only to cover their mouths and not their nose. Saw a bagger wipe his nose and continue to bag groceries, did not apply sanitizer after doing so.
This has long been a poorly managed store. They are frequently out of stock on popular items. I know its a pandemic, but it dates back well before that. Cans on the shelves are often dusty on top. Today the entire butcher shop was closed. The beer and wine sales procedure is ridiculous (I know that's because of the ridiculous state laws). Check out people, who have been there a number of years, often have trouble with simple tasks, like figuring out how to manage coupons. NO ONE ever smiles there (okay, there's one woman, but she's the exception). The happiest employee seems to be the security guard - at least he's pleasant. One look at management to explain this type of systemic difficulty.
I really like the people @ Giant Eagle @ 3239 Washington Pike in Bridgeville, PA. I especially like the African American lady who is a cashier, I don't remember her name, she is such a sweetheart!
Masks not being worn properly by several employees. One in particular didn’t even have hers over her face at all, just pulled down under her chin. Absolutely unacceptable. I’ll be making a formal complaint to the corporate office.
They had so much more than market district, flour, paper towels, toilet paper and a good selection of meat.
Pharmacy is always great to deal with.wont ho another pharmacy. Pharmists always go out of their way for you.
They are always nice and polite always smiling people if you need help or anything they are always willing to walk you to where you got to find something to help you I have nothing bad to say
The front end supervisor was berating her cashier's in front of all the customers. There were 4 people standing around with her including a manager. She was rude and a very ignorant woman. She wrote someone up and wanted her to sign the paper in front of all the customers and cashier's. I don't think any type of training would help this rude and unprofessional woman. This happened on Saturday, May 26th, around 2: 15.
Nice store! Not typically where I shop but will go back. Traffic in Bridgeville is the issue with that location.
Giant Eagle reminds me of the grocery stores back in the 70s. The people who work there treat me like family.
Just horrible customer service! I will never do business with their flower department again! Placed an order 4 days before i needed it. They still couldnt get it done for me because they wrote down the wrong date!
Love the deli and fresh meat dept. Produce is a tad pricey. Staff is super nice. Not always clean. Floors with trash.
I always get gluten free anything here. They have always carried the biggest selection here. It is so hard to sort through the gluten free things in places and some stores carry very little. I know Giant Eagle will have it to save the day!
The lady at the Express checkout was wonderful. I injured my knee earlier today and she waa quite sympathetic. They had just what I needed-blank Thank you cards.
They need to have more people at the service desk you got people one to want to play Numbers then you have people sending packages off you have people going on the get copies made you get people getting money orders and I got one person so they flip-flop between lines so you could be here a good 20 minutes when it should only take two minutes
Not the nicest, nor the best stocked of the Giant Eagle locations.
Older store, older parking lot, and less size make this GE a little less "fancy" than some of the newer ones. Oddly enough, it seems to take just as long to get in and out of here as it does the much larger one in Settler's Ridge. Part of that may be that the shopping center it sits in is oddly configured and usually busy.
It does stock all the basics and then some with a decent deli and bakery section.
