GIANT Food Stores reviews
18Shoprite 1 giant 2. That's my grocery list top 2. Need to be in more states.ie Delaware. Can Can.
Very large store with great variety of products and services. Friendly check out and services.
Very clean, very organized store, however one cashier that could check you out while many check yourself out not good will continue going to Kimbertons whole foods where they give you attention and check you out.
Awesome store for shopping, Great employees and amazing selection but there are some gripes… Its always hot/warm in the store and they could really turn the A/C on a bit as surrounding stores are much cooler and more comfortable as it hurts the experience when there for a long shop. You see the employees sweating a lot which hurts the look and management is often just standing around and watching employees or customers instead of helping or engaging. Go here and get your shopping done but don’t expect to enjoy your experience.
This store is simply great. Design is amazing, it is also very clean inside. Selection is really great, I can find here almost everything I need. Food is always fresh, especially vegetables. Staff is helpful and polite. I also like the inside location of Starbucks.
The new Giant really lives up to its name. The place is enormous! Problem is (and the reason I gave it 4 stars), there seems to be a universal shortage of food in ALL grocery stores. So, the size of the Giant magnifies that effect. Ultimately we were unable to find some of the items we were looking for and it took longer to NOT find them due to the size of the store. I'm sure the new Giant will be a great place once the shortage situation is resolved. Unti then, though, it's a safer bet to ask an employee for assistance rather than meandering aisle after aisle in vane.
The Plumsteasville Giant is a neighborhood grocery store. It's medium size but the prices are as good, if not better, than the big stores. In fact, Giants meats, produce and bakery are great. I have no hesitation buying anything they carry. I've been shopping in this store since 1995 when it was a Clements and I have no plans on switching.
I was in a pickle late at night and the manager (I believe his name was Greg) helped me at the deli department way after it was closed. Top notch service.
Some of the management does not know what they are doing, pretty much all the managers I've dealt with apart from Tanya have not been helpful in anyway, she was the only one who responded to me in timely manner, kept me updated with my issue and ultimately corrected the issue after being told by other managers they can't do anything.
Terrible… it’s virtually all self checkout and you have to bag every item immediately after scanning. You can just scan send down conveyor then bag. Fortunately Acme and Weis still have cashiers and better prices.
My hubby had been a number of times, but I enjoyed my first experience on the weekend of friendly staff, free samples, live music and a nice place to sit and eat.
Store is clean, staff are great, and I always find what I'm looking for at a good price!
New store is bright, clean and well organized. Love the scanners and the multiple self-check out lanes. I haven’t had to wait in line yet so loving that!
I placed an order for pickup. Over 40% of the items ordered were not available. I did not find this out until pick up. A complete waste of time as now I will have to shop elsewhere to buy what I need. Certainly makes me rethink being a Giant customer as other options are close by.
Update.it's now March 2022 and it has only become worse at Giant. Since their move to the new store, online orders are pointless as very little seems to be in stock. Weekly sales are often sold out and they will not offer a raincheck.
The newly renovated store looks much nicer, larger and premium compared to the former store. They have a large selection of product and plenty of checkout lines. I love all the service departments (deli, smoothie/bowl bar, sushi, etc). The disappointing factors of this store are the employees don't seem to care much about their job and there is a severe lack of product in all the fresh service departments. (Only one sushi tray and it was buffalo chicken which is an interesting twist on sushi but how is there no conventional sushi out beside it? Half the hot bar was empty, only a couple sandwiches in the deli, etc)
I had the worst experience at your customer service desk. I needed something simple to be done (a lottery voucher) and the man working at the desk was very rude and acted like i was an inconvenience, not to mention it took forever due to him talking to other employees. When the encounter was over, I wished him a nice day, I got no response and he stormed right by me. I work in customer service myself at another grocery store, and I would never treat a customer how I was just treated today.
No selection!? Will be going back to Acme. Giant failed to deliver.
Gave it one more try.no half and half.at all. Whoever is store manager needs to go back to register cause they don't have a clue!
I went in here and I fully understand being understaffed but I went to check out and this poor kid was trying to check me out and asked another teen to help him bag. There were 6 teens in a group just talking about drugs and not working at all. The teen he asked to help him laughed and said no. So I bagged myself to help the kid checking me out. The other 6 teens should be spoken to about how to do their job. They were not working at all, being extremely rude, and speaking very inappropriately. I am only 25 and I know how they were acting was out of line. I know everyone is struggling for workers but that does not mean stores should settle for that, especially when this store just opened and has so much opportunity to do amazing.
