Almost killed our cat because they refused to do an ultrasound and were disrespectful when my mom insisted. We had to take her somewhere else and guess what! Ultrasound caught the problem. Our cat was hours from death because we trusted their advice. Don’t go here for any emergencies. They were fine at check ups but we can’t trust them anymore.

This little guy came to us at the age of 9. He was malnourished, injured and abused. Through the knowledgeable and loving care of Dr. Arms and the technicians, he has flourished into the sweetest, gentlest little guy and everyone loves him. Harley will be 15 this year and is getting a little chubby. Thank you for taking such good care of our darling boy!

Great place to go! They are great with all my pets and the staff is friendly. My dog was quaking in her proverbial boots and everyone here made her feel safe and calm.

We took our beautiful Brittany, Moo Moo (Misty) there on Tuesday. Dr. Fury was amazing and the entire staff was so comforting. After an exam they helped us determine the best treatment. Our girl passed over to Rainbow Bridge, with us. They made sure she was calm before any exam or handling and even took pictures before she was given the meds. They went above and beyond as always.

I've been taking my pets to Gilbertsville Veterinary Hospital for over 25 years. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and caring, and so very compassionate about end-of-life decisions.

Staff greeted us, and Snoopy, at the door and made us feel completely welcome. Snoopy, a 9 week old Bernadoodle felt completely at ease. Facility extremely clean and the love the staff gad for the animals was complete evident. Highly recommend

My dog woke up sick on a Friday. I watched and waited a bit, and by noon decided to call the vet to try to have her seen. Of course there are no appointments available for that day, except for a few more expensive emergency visits. So I set up an emergency visit for later in the day. The person I spoke to let me know that if they had any cancellations I could slide into that appointment instead, we're leaving me from paying the higher priced " emergency visit ". Luckily for me someone did cancel And I got a regular appointment for later in the day. Brought my dog in and they were quickly able to diagnose what was going on. They gave me meds, explained what was going on, how to take care of it, and how to help prevent the situation in the future. I was very impressed with their professionalism and guidance, not to mention their patients and loving demeanor towards my dog, who was in pain. I thought the bill was going to be astronomical, but it really wasn't that bad at all. I highly recommend this veterinarian. They have great hours, even open on Saturdays. I'm really happy I chose here!

Gilbertsville Vets have been my vet of choice since I moved to the area in 1995. All the staff are super friendly, the doctors are excellent with the animals, and our fur-babies have had excellent care.

I show my Weimaraner in AKC and since we recently retired her from the show ring it was time to spay. I was very nervous to get her spayed but Gilbertsville was fantastic. Riva can be very shy and nervous around strangers but they did so well with her. Jade was especially kind and very caring towards myself and Riva. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Getting my cat's thyroid medication it's more of a battle than it should be.

Bottom line, refusing to fill his medication unless I submit to bloodwork that he doesn't need can only be described by one word. Extortion.

And then the director Todd had the nerve to accuse me of emotional blackmail when I told him I was leaving his practice either with our without his meds. He could either prove he cared about animals by giving me one more month while I search for another vet. Or he could provr he cared more about the almighty dollar and not give them to me. Todd obviously cares more about money than animals because I don't have his medication.

I'm not done. When my daughter went down there to talk to him, she called me on the phone to tell me his explanation. He stated that they were required to do bloodwork annually for liability reasons. I believe him. So why are they hassling me every three months? The math doesn't add up. When I pointed that out, he belittled my education "He hasn't been to veterinary school, I have ", IN FRONT OF MY DAUGHTER. He then, again, accused me of emotional blackmail, IN FRONT OF MY DAUGHTER.

Bottom line. Todd proved his allegiance. And it's not to the welfare of animals. He did give my daughter a week supply, in exchange for scheduling and appointment for bloodwork, an appointment I will be canceling as soon as I have an appointment at another vet.

BTW, the vet I spoke to was appalled at how I and my cat were treated. They assure me this won't happen there, and I believe them.

I have been very happy with Gilbertsville Vet. I have always been able to be seen when I had an emergency with my pets during business hours and that is important to me! I like all the Doctors I have seen.

I'd give them 5 stars over and over, they have very friendly staffs. They would keep you posted all the time. You would feel that they actually care about your pet. We definitely have a very good experience with them

This was my first time at Gilbertsville Veterinary Hospital. I took my macaw for a well visit and my love bird. The staff was very friendly loved my macaw. Dr C was very nice. I was happy with the experience as I was looking for a new exotic vet as my previous one is getting ready to retire.

Been going here for years and called to update my appointment for my cat. First time I called it rang forever and hung up no answer. They had our appointment in wrong and were not very helpful on the phone or informative. They tried to push our appointment back farther when we already had one in place. I felt rushed off the phone and not being taken as a priority because they were so “busy” very disappointed and will not be taking any of my pets back here. Unfriendly.

Took my dog here for surgery. He passed away overnight without anyone there watching him. I assumed he would be with him overnight. Go elsewhere

We wouldn't trust any other vet. Honest, clean and tops it off with an awesome staff. We take our 3 pups here and they all love it (even the anxious and reactive one).

Receptionists are rude and antagonistic - they claim a vet might not ever call back and insist on reading a case note while refusing to take a message for a vet. Remarkably, I got a call back by a supervisor more interested in defending their staff and dismissing me rather than addressing their staff's behavior. Rotten from top down - makes sense they work with animals since they lack any skills working with humans.
