I have lived there for 1 year, leasing staff was really good. But maintenance was phenomenal. Quick and attentive service, Matt always took care of me.

I recently toured the property and I fell in love. I’m in the process of signing a lease for January. The leasing staff as well as the maintenance team gave me all of the confidence in the world to make the Bozzuto commitment!

Such a great place to live! Best views of the city out of anywhere in Pittsburgh. Carissa and Stacey are great!

Was told before I applied there were EV chargers in the parking garage. After applying and getting approved I was told there are no chargers available. This was the only concern I raised during the tour and I feel like I was told what I wanted to hear. Even better is walking through the parking garage and seeing open EV chargers regardless of the time of the day it is.

Had a super positive move-in experience with Glasshouse last week - the leasing office is responsive in terms of requests and they let the furniture rental company deliver to my apartment before my arrival, maintenance requests also get taken care of within hours of posting, and the concierge is always nice and helpful. Awesome apartment with great views and a nice management team.

I filled out the application ten days ago. I provided a proof of income, but unfortunately, I called several times to inquire about my application, but no one cared, the building is very beautiful but the management is so bad, and who works in leasing office don’t have any experience

Visited my friends at Glasshouse earlier this year. The trash situation is honestly disturbing. It looks unsanitary, especially to those people who live in neighboring apartments

I actually did an earlier post, but after checking from a different account, I noticed that my previous review was not visible: I can only hope that it is not caused by dissatisfied management handing negative (yet honest) reviews this way, that is using highly inflated reviews (thanks to 5 star reviews given by those who just toured the building and never lived there) to flag and hide 1star review from others. There are definitely many good things here, but I’ll focus on what’s causing my low review. Some of the major things:

1. Trains are loud. Not only you hear them despite windows being closed, but you also often feel the vibrations.

2. Pool: despite the pool open date in late may, it was not fully ready. The pillows on cabanas were not there till at least mid-June (when I was moving out). As a result, many residents had to relax on towels spread over concrete (this should not happen and should be handled way faster given that the rent amount people pay here).

3. Management and move-out: In my case, some unexpected events led to a change of plans and I wanted to extend the move out date for a short period of time (roughly 1 month). The lease contract had an explicit amount by which the rent changes in case of such events: 300$ of an extra premium to your rent per month (reasonable given that management companies prefer long-term leases). In my case, the management proposed to extend my lease on a monthly basis at a price being equal to twice of my current rent (it is easy to check that it is way more than 300$). When I pointed out this part of the contract, I was told that the management company can change the terms of this part of the contract, and the only way to extend lease is on the new terms. Just be aware that this part of your contract has no meaning overall.

The reply by the management to my initial post claimed that the corresponding section of the contract applies in the event of the the team failing to reach out to you with the renewal offer. I just want to point out that it is easy to check that the corresponding section contains various general rules and policies (and nothing about the events when this part of the contract does and does not act). I simply want to point out that in case someone happens to be in my shoes and their plans change due to unexpected events, be ready to either pay almost twice of your rent for a month (which, quoting management reply, may “not align with an offer you might have in mind”) or seek alternative housing.

Lastly, it does seem that it is not the first time negative reviews disappear: I can definitely tell that’s one of the reviews that were present at the time I moved in, are now gone.

Disappointing Experience at Glasshouse Apartment Complex

I recently had the unfortunate experience of living at the Glasshouse apartment complex, and I must say it was far from what I expected. From the moment I moved in, there were numerous issues that left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.

First and foremost, the maintenance of the complex was appalling. There were constant problems with plumbing, electrical issues, and HVAC malfunctions. Despite reporting these problems promptly, it took an unreasonable amount of time for the management to address them, causing significant inconvenience and discomfort.

Furthermore, the noise levels within the building were unbearable. Thin walls and poor insulation made it nearly impossible to enjoy a peaceful and quiet living environment. The lack of consideration from other residents and a lack of enforcement of noise regulations only exacerbated the issue.

The amenities advertised by Glasshouse were another major letdown. The fitness center was poorly equipped, with broken and outdated machines. The promised swimming pool was often closed for maintenance, leaving residents unable to enjoy this supposedly luxurious feature. Additionally, the communal areas, such as the rooftop lounge, were poorly maintained and uninviting.

The management at Glasshouse was unresponsive and unhelpful. It seemed like they were more interested in collecting rent than addressing the concerns and needs of their residents. Requests for assistance or clarification were met with indifference, making the overall living experience feel impersonal and uncaring.

Lastly, the pricing of the apartments was exorbitant for the quality of living provided. Considering the subpar conditions and lackluster amenities, the rent was simply not justified. It felt like I was paying a premium price for a below-average living experience.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against considering Glasshouse apartment complex as a place to live. The maintenance issues, noise problems, lack of quality amenities, unresponsive management, and high prices make it an unsatisfactory choice. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by looking elsewhere for a better living situation.

After I recently moved out or GH after living there for a year, I hope this review will help anyone that is considering living in this building.

1. The trains. I specifically asked on our tour if the trains (there is one that runs in front of the building and one behind) were a common noise complaint amongst current residents. I was told a confident “no”, and was even told the windows are reinforced so the sounds cannot be heard inside. This is actually false. The trains are quite noticeable and if you are someone that works from home, just know the sound will be in the background of conference calls etc. Also, invest in a good pair of ear plugs if you wish to get any sleep.

2. The building is supposed to be smoke-free, however, it doesn’t seem to be strongly enforced. The strong scent of weed is often lingering in the elevators and hallways- an occurrence that has happened more times than I can count at this point. I get that it’s a recreation for some, but it’s just an annoyance for everyone else.

3. It was surprising to me how noisy the washing machine and dryer were while running (Video attached), which just made working from home an inconvenience and ofc we could not do laundry at night in the event we actually wanted to sleep.

4. The trash rooms were packed with rotting trash and management would keep the trash there for days at a time, making the hallways smell awful. We were ofc charged trash removal fees and were asked as residents to hold our trash in our apartments when management couldn’t get the trash out on time. The trash would build up in the rooms which is a health hazard for residents (photo attached).

They will flood your place and leave you with nothing for the inconvenience. Inconsiderate company, wouldn't recommend.

If you’re concerned about management, you probably should be. Pipes burst Unit was flooded, was not compensated in any form for the damage and inconvenience.

My apartment flooded from a sewage pipe burst and I had to miss out on a week of work + distress this caused me. Glasshouse did not compensate me at all and still made me pay for the full week that I couldn’t live in my own unit. I’d suggest a different complex for anyone who cares about running into issues like that.

Have lived here for 4 years now (since they first opened) and it’s been a really great experience. Kind staff, attentive maintenance team, and great neighbors living in the building. Facilities are clean and apartments are really nice.

I just moved in and the Glasshouse is absolutely stunning! The views are amazing, and the grounds are very well kept, clean and organized. It's right down the road from Southside (East Carson) and also the North shore. 15 minutes from North Hills and less than 30 minutes from South Hills Village and Cranberry. Perfect spot. The staff including the leasing agent Sara Miller and the concierge were very welcoming, kind, and pleasant to talk with. All my questions were answered, my apartment is in excellent condition and they made sure of that with a pre-move in inspection. They schedule events for the residents to meet everyone in the community and have a rewards program where you can gain points and receive gifts. It also provides discounts to numerous places, just put the card on your keychain. The lounge is shockingly nice not to mention the pool and gym. I'm a private person I don't like to be bothered too much which they don't seem to do so it's wonderful here. I highly recommend the Glasshouse to anyone out there looking for a place to call home.
