GNA Ristorante, West Reading PA

It was a very busy evening and the staff was struggling to keep up. The food was of exceptional quality. I had the gnocchi al limone and it was perfection. Another person in the party had the tilapia and stated it was greasy. Overall my experience was favorable, making for an enjoyable meal.

I live in Montana but come to the Reading area each May to visit family. My sister and I have met there several times in the past. She told me about the meatball sub (which is good.) We met there again on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023. Seating was not available in the dining area we previously had used. Then the meatball sub was not available. Hostess did check with the manager and we were basically rejected. It seemed the pandemic (which was over before that day) was to blame. To me, anyone who continues to blame the pandemic uses it as an excuse for thieir own shortcomings. So we went to Mimmos. We told them we were there because of the expierence at GNA, and could not get what we wanted. I also let them know I was visiting from Montana. They told me that whatever I wanted, even if it was not on the menu, they would make for me. And they did! So to end, you think that if someone comes over 2000 miles once a year and chooses your establishment to eat, you would be grateful, no excuses and want their business. At least there are those who belive that business motto and live it.

The place was empty and I had to wait 10 minutes to be taken to a table. After I was seated I had to wait 30 minutes for my order to be taken. I had to ask the “waitress” to take my order. The restaurant was still empty and a couple came in after me and the service they received was better.

Had lunch was very good. Waitress was very friendly, they Don't have fresh brewed iced tea so I ask for glass filled with ice and filled with coffee. Waitress told me she was making fresh coffee for me each time she refilled my drink.

I tried this restaurant for the 1st time and it will be my last. My daughter and I were treated very poorly. There were 4 tables of guests and we had a young man wait on us who was short with us and did the bare minimum. This was evident from seeing the female waitress waiting on the 2 other tables. The young man catered to a table of 3 men but not my daughter, who is an adult as well, and myself.
We had to ask for bread which we should have gotten with our meals. At the end of our meal he tossed our leftover containers at us to box ourselves, after we had watched the other waitress box the other guests leftovers.
I would recommend NO ONE go here!
I guarantee I will ensure to tell everyone I know to not step foot there! And yes, I know a lot of people and have no problem telling them. Unfortunately for the young man who judged us, my daughter and I are both professionals and will be spreading the negative experiences we had.

Our server, Kate, was outstanding! She had it all, service with a smile and a great laugh. Nothing was forgotten and every bite was delicious.

Had to go there to buy beer there as its illegal for beer to be sold in gas stations in PA because it's a constitutional state that make up their own rules. And yes, I paid $14.50 for a 6 pack of Corona in the bottle as I did not want to pay $4.50 for one bottle. Ps. If you enjoyed my review, please like it and feel free to follow.

Beautiful Italian restrainte, the ambiance with the decor is beautiful and the staff are always polite and helpful. Everything on the Menu no matter what you choose is Excellent I highly recommend going here, you won't be disappointed

Came to eat here at 6: 50pm and they wouldn’t not seat us claiming they closed at 7pm which does not align with their hours posted on their website.

The food is great. The customer service is great. It's a very relaxing environment. It reminds one of old-school Italian.

Not only the best classic pizza and cheesesteaks around, but also high-end, TASTY pasta dishes that make for an incredible dine-in or take-out for any occasion. Everything is fresh and delicious, time and time again, going back decades. Our family's favorite!

So disappointed, yet again. My family really enjoys eating here, it’s my daughter’s favorite but once again my takeout order is wrong. Why does this keep happening?
I hope you can figure this out because I’m tired of wasting money throwing out incorrectly prepared food. West Reading offers many other excellent dining options.

AWARD FOR WORST BAKED ZITI EVER GOES TO GNA IN READING. HORRIBLE!
I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS. UPDATED NEXT MORNING, I BROUGHT THE FOOD TO MY DAUGHTER WHO IS IN READING HOSPITAL. SHE WAS SICK ALL NIGHT FROM THE HORRIBLE FOOD RECEIVED FROM THIS HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT. I WONT DARE CALL IT A RESTAURANT

Omg who makes baked ziti with no ricotta cheese or for that matter doesn't actually BAKE IT. For 20$ I got a salad, about 1 and 1/2 cups of half cooked pasta and some sauce and mozzarella cheese. Absolutely the worst customer service ever and I would NEVER recommend anyone even thinking of bringing food to a loved one at Reading Hospital, just don't. My daughter waited all afternoon for a dinner not made by the hospital and the hospital food is 100 times better.

Always a terrific dining experience in their formal dining room.
I had seafood risotti with white sauce. While not exactly risitto; the rice was seasond well, and there were plenty of calamari, shrimp, clams, and mussels in the dish.

It's been a few years since I have eaten here, since leaving the area. So glad we stopped back here while going through the area. We ordered the GNA special. As you can see, it is fully loaded and its as good as it looks.

We went yesterday at 2pm. Other tables were leaving, we were the only ones on the dining side. 8 of us. It took 15 minutes for the server to take our drink order. 45 more minutes for those drinks and an hour for salads. The entrees left alot to be desired. My brothers meal was inedible. My son enjoyed his sausage sandwich. The veal parm was flavorless. We had a hair in the dipping oil for the bread. When I mentioned that my brother's meal was left on the bill despite him ordering a different item which we were paying for, the server said, yeah my manager is not that forgiving? I paid over $100 for three of us at the table. Server was nice enough but overall too many little things added up to a not great experience. I doubt we'd ever go back.

Just got a hawaiian pizza. But omg was it delicious. The venue is very nice. They had 2 private parties goin on but it very well executed. Very spacious. And the staff was friendly. Definitely will go back
