The most horrible experience tonight. We usually frequent and have a great experience, however, this new waitress is horrible. We had a conversation about our order and she bought out what we didn't order. We asked for rice to fix it instead of making brand new orders, and she charged us for sides of rice. We asked for spicy tibs and were given non spicy. In addition to all of that we were never given silverware to eat with. We had to get her attention for silverware.
We ended up NOT eating our food and had to go to the bar to pay as she never intended on checking on our table again. While there we expressed our concerns to her and the lead waiter. Instead of listening to feedback she says "say it to my face. " How inappropriate!? Not to mention we WERE. Clearly, communication isn't her strongest skill. We paid for our $70 meal and left never to return. We've supported this local business on many occasions but simply cannot continue to not be supported in return.

You made my friend cry. The treatment she received was so unprofessional. My first time coming to this establishment and last. We didn’t even eat because they made us wait outside for an hour then said the kitchen was closed. No real apology, just a offer for appetizers and made us wait an hour to tell us late. Terrible. Never again.

A ridiculously expensive restaurant designed primarily to rip people of their money, where an extremely small cup of tea costs $4.00 and is not even refillable! A tiny beef/lentil/vegetable wrap called "Sambusa" costs $3.00 each. A very unfriendly vibe with the waiters. The food didn't taste bad! But portion is incredibly small! I gave it 2 stars only for the cozy backyard! Sadly, I will still go again because we don't have many Habesha Restaurants to choose from like DC, Maryland and Virginia areas!

I wish I could leave 0 stars but that’s not an option. I have been coming here for years but there has been a big change. For example last night I arrived at the restaurant at 9: 45pm the kitchen closes at 11pm. Me and my friend specifically came to eat after work I made that known to the waiter he said it will be just a few minutes before your seated. At 10: 20 I almost fainted which was my fault because I worked 14 hours that day and did not eat. My friend managed to help me into the bar to get some mango juice even thought there is no seating indoor I needed to get some sugar in me so I wouldn’t pass out, the bar tender was made aware and the only thing her and the male waiter could say to me was “3.50$” they both kept repeating themselves as I was trying to figure out if I should call the ambulance or not because I couldn’t stay away due to the low blood sugar. Finally the mango juice kicked in and I started to wake up enough to walk back outside. The staff did not have the courtesy to ask if I was okay. I asked how long is the wait they said a few more minutes. I felt a lot better after the mango juice but I knew it would only last a little while before my sugar would go down again. At 10: 45pm they set us in the patio gave us food menu to order food and then told us five minutes later the kitchen was closed. I was so hurt because they were not empathetic at all to my condition. I would at least have liked notice during our wait instead of being told that “a few minutes” as he kept telling me. I could’ve went somewhere else in that hour wait. I believe the staff is not courteous at all and showed no sympathy to my situation at all. They only cared about money. I will not be sending anymore customers. The time before this was able to get a table and sit and eat the waiter was the daughter I believe of the owner and she had great service however the food was not as good as it use to be but it was late and I was one of the last customers so I understood.

The guy Manager was very rude because I told him that the food was cold. Usually the food is good. But, his attitude was horrible. I won't be back for awhile again.

I loved this place. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because I left hungry and it wasnt the best Ethiopian I've had. Other than that it was a great time and if you're looking for a nice, clean quiet location then this is a great spot to visit

Inexpensive decent appetizers and good neighborhood atmosphere to watch a game or chat with friends until someone plays a song in the digital jukebox. My friend and I sat at the bar and were having a good time until we found ourselves shouting, repeating what we had said, and being a little frustrated that we barely could hear one another.

Food did take a while to come, but their Ethiopian cheesesteak is indeed the best twist on a cheesesteak I’ve had in Philly so far so it was worth the wait

Price is too high. Over worked waiters and food is just okay nothing special. Good beer selection is the only bright spot.

Painfully sloooooooooow service. It took 40 minutes to receive a cheesesteak, with no updates or apologies from the staff. Having the best food in the land doesn't mean a damn thing if good service isn't practiced.

One of the few places where you can order raw meat with no worries that I love. Cute little smoking friendly outside part too. I enjoyed it a lot I'll probably go back.

If you want chapati made from scratch don't order what they have. They have those frozen chapatis that you have to heat. They seemed to have one server whose duties we're over stretched! My hubby loved the salmon stew!

The food is good however there was only one person serving and the food took forever to get ready. However the ambiance is really good!

Went on a date here and the service was really, really good. The only thing that startled me was how small the portions are compared to other Ethiopian places. Perhaps that's simply the way they do it, but it was a bit remarkable that there wasn't more food! Still, if I lived in the area I'd gladly go back and eat more-the food really is quite amazing.

All the food I’ve had in the past from here has been great. The Ethiopian cheese steak is one of the best steaks in Philly

The food is good, but the wait for food can be excruciatingly long — makes it a great place to watch a game and drink a pitcher of beer but if you want a regular dinner, get ready for a wait.

The 10th and last time I went, it took 1.5 hours for 2 Ethiopian cheesesteaks and the place was practically empty. The wait staff couldn’t do anything about it, so they started avoided us.
