Goldy Market (Russian Grocery store) reviews
7I study Russian at my university, very happy to see somewhere selling things I can tell my professors about.
Goldy Market is a wonderful place! Lots of authentic European food, particularly Russian. My husband and I bought our first bottle of Kvas here:) There's lots of Russian candy too. The store owner, David, was incredibly generous and friendly to us. I wanted my husband to try russian Tarragon soda and we found some here. Highly recommended!
It's a small grocery store with shelves packed with food in labels I cannot read but want to eat. There is an entire wall with nothing but candy I'm not familiar with, which will be fun to eat. We also look forward to eating some of the meats they have.
Both times I went, the employees/owners were nice and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back.
My Ukrainian boyfriend and I visited this store because he had a craving for some childhood foods. Sure enough he was able to find all his favorites, friendly staff to speak to in Russian or English, and a cart full of goodies to take home with us.
The selection ranges from meats, kefir, and fresh vegetables, to candy, honey and bread.
Great to have this gem in our local area when you can’t get back home or to Brighton Beach to visit family. We look forward to returning.
A store with healthy and delicatese food from East Europe & Russia.
After living many years in Europe I can tell that their food is so much healthier than food made in US! Among that it also tastes good. At the store you can find the worlds best salami: Hungarian Pick salami here as well ;-)
My family shops here every week, the owner is very nice and helpful person!
It is not that BIG and maybe not as GOOD as everyone would like to visit, but this is a little piece of Russia in Harrisburg, PA with a large selection of "Soviet" goods and GREAT food. Thanks David!:)
