Good Dog Bar, Philadelphia PA

Really cool bar! Food is good for a bar, drinks come quickly and the bartenders are very welcoming and nice. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination if you want inside seating though.

Awesome food and service! It was busy but the servers were great and the drinks kept coming!

I went here for a celebration. I played a song on the jukebox and they immediately turned the volume down. I could here people talking over the music. They should put up a sign “WE DONT ALLOW POC TO SELECT THE MUSIC HERE”. When I complained, the rude employee asked “if I wanted my dollar back”. That’s how they treat their customers. Or is it only “certain” customers that they treat unfairly and poorly? I didn’t get a chance to eat or drink anything and they still charged my card $40. Just go somewhere else. TRUST ME.

Bartenders were very nice and attentive. We got the sweet potato empanadas and they were so good. Definitely going back.

I tried to enjoy a nice night out here but as a poc- I felt discriminated against, disrespected & I felt like my money wasn’t wanted there. I will never recommend this place. Karma is real and I pray that every employee here gets exactly what they put out. Owner included.

Diverse food and alcohol menu. Very energetic staff. My buddy and I had the mushroom tacos and mozz sticks to start the evening. I swear the mozz sticks carried w/it 3 diff cheeses and mango sauce for the tacos are excellent! Yum!

Organization does not allow guests who orders only a beer to sit down at a standard table. Get it together Good Dog Bar.

Cool relaxed atmosphere. Great place to end the night. Beer list seems to have taken a hit recently, but that's probably due to covid. Will continue going back every time I'm in the city late.

If you sit in the dinning room for dinner they Immediately request the card to open a tab, and when I asked the manager the reasoning behind this they said Covid…. I’ve been a patron here numerous times and not once have they requested to open a tab when sitting in the dinning room for dinner. Tacky!

One of my favorite burgers ever, if not my favorite. The good dog burger never fails to impress. I rave about this burger and despite that it seems to get better each time. I come here expecting the best burger I’ve ever eaten and it remains the best with each visit despite the highest hopes. Please order the good dog burger and enjoy.

Another note - my girlfriend is vegan and she was completely amazed by the vegan cheesesteak. One of the best vegan entrees she’s ever had, in her words.

I don't know what happened to this place, Last time the service was horrible and this time the food TERRIBLE. Fries were burnt and the brisket grilled cheese TERRIBLE.the bread SOGGY the meat CHEWY, WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY

I wish zero stars was an option. I paid for a song on the Jukebox and they turned the volume down TWICE. I could hear the people talking OVER the song I played but the punk music that was playing when I walked in was super loud. DISCRIMINATION. Why not just put up a sign “we dislike POC ”? I went there to celebrate my night after passing a major test just to be treated poorly by GOOD DOG BAR. It’s sad.

I had the burger and it was 6 out of 5. Then I returned and had the poke bowl and it was mostly vegetables. Very little fish.

EDIT AFTER BUSINESS RESPONDED: I spoke to the manager. The manager supports it. So again- if you’re a poc and want to be treated with the same respect as others, DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE.

If you’re a poc this isn’t the place for you

It was the perfect place! We went to a concert and needed a late hours place for food and beer. We were all vegetarian and the vegan Philly cheesesteak looked too good to pass up. We got I got a variety of cheeses other than vegan. I could have cried it was so good. The staff were super efficient and friendly. Prices were very good

Great local pub, always very clean, Great atmosphere and the staff is always very kind.my go to spot whenever I am I'm center city

We popped in here for a quick drink around 10ish on a Saturday. The place was full, but found a seat at the bar. The bar is very long. Bartender was fairly quick serving us. I’d like to try here again and stay longer. One interesting thing the front door scans your ID to calculate your age and in case you cause trouble, they know who was onsite.
