Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen, Kennett Square PA

My wife and came in for dinner about a week ago and had a great experience. Our waitress was prompt and very friendly. We both ordered the same chefs special burger and they were delicious. Like a clone of each other, my wife and I also ordered the same whiskey cocktail that was made to perfection. The bourbon was present yet not overtaken by the other ingredients resulting in a well-balanced cocktail. We will be back again

We came here for brunch - good service but food was just okay. Pancake was bland and dry: (but home fries were yummy!

Vibe was cool- active bar and great live music. Our waitress was responsive, pleasant and helpful.
The menu is tavern with a twist. Food quality and flavors were mixed. The pretzel with crab was really great. Large enough to share for 4. My hubby had the mahi sandwich, which was tasty but more bread than fish. I had the goat cheese appetizer - goat cheese was good but salad with no flavor- just a bunch of wilted lettuce. My entree was the seared tuna. The tuna was tasty, but the rice and edamame were almost raw and inedible. The sauce for this dish was supposed to be a soy based sauce, and it tasted more like a really sweet, syrupy teriyaki.

Server was amazing i believe her name was cameron but i may be wrong, she was great nonetheless, bar tender was super friendly, i accidentally used my vape inside and he respectfully told me not to use it inside which i appreciated, rather than the usual ‘gtfo if you use that again’ that i get from other bars / breweries in the area.but ya! All in all amazing service and amazing food as always.will be coming back.

Not a bad place, fast service, bartender came off a little rude at first but warmed up throughout the stay.

What is the story behind using books to present the bill? I think it's really cool, but nobody knew why?

We held our rehearsal dinner at Grain and it was great! They were right in our budget and were willing to work with us on what we needed to do. The food was delicious and we had an open bar with the most amazing fresh-squeezed crushes. We had the whole outdoor upstairs area rented out and it was perfect for our group! Shoutout to Geoff for being great to work with!

I got the tacos and loved them.it seems like they are always doing things (trivia, bingo, live music, etc.) so I am excited to go again for one of those events

Jeff is an awesome GM! Excellent customer service, really knows how to treat people. Jacob was a great server!

A nice, varied menu with a solid variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A good lunch option.

The food was great as well as our server but the rude hostess, Sarah, ruined our experience. We had a party of 8 and asked to be seated on the roof top but were rudely declined. We would have understood if there were no seats but multiple times we saw people going up there but no one coming down. So, we decided to ask our waiter if we could go to the rooftop and as we were doing this the hostess walked by gave a nasty look and whispered why are they doing that? The hostess also kept on staring. It’s disappointing going to a nice restaurant with friends and having a great experience ruined by a young rude kid.

I love this place! They have a better than average tap list including Maine Brewing Co. I've been here with my girlfriend for happy hour. Recently I brought my boyfriend and family including my 17-month-old nephew a couple Sundays ago, after we went to Longwood Gardens. So glad they had a high chair (I wasn't sure). My nephew is the cutest but makes a mess. He fell in love with our servers who were so kind. The food is outstanding, I recommend the tuna app, salads and the short rib grilled cheese plus the Maine beer on tap. Also, my mother loved the peach guava iced tea so much! An impressive beer bar! I've been to most of them in 3 states. So glad I found a new place near my best friends' and my mother's house in Chadds Ford. Cheers!

We popped in here while passing by and we will definitely be back. It has a good amount of seating both downstairs and upstairs and a long bar. We enjoyed beers from their lengthy list. The crab fries were awesome with lots of melty cheese and crab meat. So many delicious looking menu items. The waitress told us there were quite a few new menu items. My husband had the shrimp tacos with tortilla chips. Only critique would be salsa or dip is needed for the chips and the tacos while loaded with shrimp could use a little more slaw. I had the cheesteak egg rolls (3) app and the mushroom soup. Egg rolls were great. I didn't care for the spices in the soup but I liked that it was chunky and a good portion. Service was great, can't wait to return and try more things!

Food was good, staff was friendly. What more can you ask for? Great menu and great choice selection. Would definitely come back here.

Killer cheese Steaks and The Crab Nachos are out of this world. One of the finest appetizers I have ever come across at a Bar or Pub. Seared tuna, also delicious. They also make a fine Cheese Steak.

Recommend sitting upstairs for the views.
They have some vegetarian options, I usually get the avocado goat cheese salad and sweet potato fries. Both are solid. However I was really looking forward to all of these mushroom focused specials today and they were out of all three! They only had the non mushroom special available. As a vegetarian in Kennett square I was really hoping for more mushroom dishes on the menu. Still a great place with great service, good food portions, great cocktails!

One of my favorite go-to spots! The crab nachos and wings are always a solid go-to, and the orange crush is the best I’ve found outside of OCMD yet!
