Grand View Surgical Associates reviews
6I had a extremely difficult session with their organization. Myself and my nurse/caregiver for over one hour in the waiting room. I was there for consolation/examination of a wound area. After the one hour wait they admitted that they do have the capability/desire to transfer me from my wheelchair to examination bed. It was a terrible experience and a waste of 3 1/2 hours.
I was very impressed by Dr. Scaff. He thourougly explained our options. He was great with my special needs daughter. He talked to her like she had no disabilities. Sadly there are Dr.do not acknowledge her. We had surgery yesterday. He is very thorough, makes sure all questions are answered.

I went to Grand View ER yesterday, the day after receiving Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. I developed a cough in the early morning hours that triggered my asthma. After trying to treat my asthma with various inhalers I have been prescribed, I finally was in serious distress and went to ER. They immediately moved me into a exam room, put me on oxygen, administered medications, ordered a nebulizer treatment, and did a number of tests. After 5 hours, I finally asked the nurse Nicole if the doctor we met with when we were admitted, Dr. Watson would be talking to us about the results of the tests, because no one told us anything, and I was told that he had left and that Dr. Ricci who was now on duty, "He doesn't really know anything about your case or what Dr. Watson was treating you for". What? ! He is the doctor who took over for the doctor who left at shift change, and he has no idea why I'm there in the ER after five hours? ! Obviously not, because my discharge report listed that I had a COPD flare. I have never smoked, and have never been diagnosed with COPD in my life. But I have had asthma for 44 years, and have been treated for it all of these years. Nicole never explained the discharge orders or said anything about COPD. I was just told to follow up with my primary care physician in two days. Terrible overall care and awful communication between ER staff and me as the patient. There is a difference between suffering from an asthma attack, and a COPD flare. 99% of the time I have my asthma in check, but if I have to go to an ER, I want to be treated for asthma, and not COPD, which I don't have. And was discharged on COPD guidelines instead of asthma guidelines? I did call the ER after I got home and read the discharge summary, and was told Dr. Ricci was changing it to asthma. My patient portal has not been updated. This is medical malpractice, isn't it? I also reported the case to the CDC/HHS VAERS reporting system due to it likely being an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine.
I felt Dr. Fishman did an excellent job with my surgery. I had my gallbladder removed through laparoscopic surgery. My surgery went smoothly along with my recovery.
Dr. Gary is great. She is the perfect mix of brilliant doctor and kind human. Love her
