Great place! We take the whole family to see Sandra! She is so talented and personable. Feels like visiting a close friend once a month and leaving looking great keep up the good work

I cannot believe a licensed stylist sent my two teen boys out of the store looking the way they did last night.

Edit: This haircut was so bad - my son asked for a mullet and she cut a chunk on each side that barely hit halfway back his ear in an uneven harsh line running down the side. I saw no visible blending, fading, or texturizing, and the end result appeared accidental and unkempt. It looked like someone started cutting and then just gave up on both sides. When she finished him up and rung him out looking as he did, my son decided maybe it wouldn't look so bad in the morning once he'd gotten used to it - this is a new style for him and the 118 minute wait meant it was too late to find another salon to fix it that night anyway. It meant he had to go to school with this haircut, but at least it was just the one day.

I do want to say that the stylist was alone and (obviously) very busy, but that explains the wait - not this cut.

So I shared the above less detailed review for this location out of shock and irritation, to which Great Clips (corporate?) commented below to please reach out so they can help (and I did). And I followed up twice. We've not even discussed what happened, let alone had any words even circling "help" or making anything right. So please beware that comment seems to be an empty shell to look like my experience actually mattered.

This wasn't just a 'Let it grow back and try again' haircut fail, this was a Full Stop haircut fail and these guys seem to have cashed in, botched the delivery, and then ghosted me. An $18 haircut cost me (another) $36 to fix and they can't even be bothered to reach out.

Spend the extra 5 bucks the 1st time guys.

Received a great haircut at a very reasonable price. The hair stylist was very personable and I got in on short notice. Highly recommend Great Clips in Hershey!

Good service. Good location (right on main drag of Hershey). Busy. Be sure to check in on app before going or you'll likely be waiting a while. Still good service years later.

Very inexperienced stylists. Do not know how to cut symmetrically and take a very long time for a simple cut. Make huge chops without asking!

The first hairstylist who trimmed my hair was perfect - listened to what I needed done, friendly, and professional. The second stylist however did not listen, spoke to me in a degrading voice, cut way more than I wanted even after our consolation, and didn’t properly even it out or blend the ends. Even after pointing out my concerns, it’s still uneven (while tilting my head down)

I have been going to Sam for a haircut forever, except for one fateful day a few years ago.

For background purposes:
One day I had let my mom talk me into chopping my waist length hair. My mom had used the selling point of donating over 11 inches of my hair to Pantene to make wigs, free of charge, for cancer patients to convince me into getting the manageable pixie cut she thought would be better for me. It was a hairstyle that was low maintenance, was wash and go, and didn't need to be shampooed every day (I have naturally oily hair due to my ethnicity). It took my mom over a year of convincing me, and me not seeing Sam during this time to talk me out of the decision (she was in beauty school at the time), to cut off my beloved hair. About a month after going through with the decision, Sam started working at the salon where I did the deed. I found this out when I went for my 6 week maintenance cut, immediately switching back to her while profusely apologizing for cutting off the hair she spent so long practicing on to get into beauty school. Sam understood the situation, and maintained my short hairstyle and perfecting my ever changing hair colors for the 5 years at her old salon, and continued to do so when she switched to Great Clips. While she didn't agree with my decision to chop off my hair, she never once judged me, especially since the lovely locks went to a great cause.

Fast Forward to this Year:
I have been missing my long hair since the day I parted with it, justifying that keeping my short hair was better because it was cheaper and easier to maintain. After confiding in Sam every 6 weeks about my regrets, and my concerns that growing it out would look strange during that awkward phase, she assured me that she would make sure that my hair looked amazing through each stage of regrowth, if and when I decided to go through with it. Seeing as she has never steered me wrong, especially when were teenagers and fixed the horrid bang cut I gave myself the day we met and was the only one my cowlick listened to while I had short hair, I placed all my trust in her. My hair is now past ear length, my cowlick is behaving, and not once has my hair looked the slightest bit of awkward since I started growing it out from the shaved pixie it once was.

Moral of the Story:
If you want someone who will make the best of all your hair decisions without judgement AND make your hair look great through those decisions, ALL WHILE supporting you in being you, GO SEE SAM at Great Clips in Hershey. You will never find a hairstylist who has the talent and heart that she does.

Great Clips in Hershey is head and shoulders above the one in Palmyra. I am guessing that is why it says temporarily closed now. They didn't seem to be consistent in Palmyra.
Much better experience and worth the drive to Hershey.

This local shop is awesome. This is the only place we'll go in Hershey. The prices are reasonable and the staff is great. Haircuts always exactly what my son wants. He actually looks forward to coming here!
