Great Wall, York PA

I ordered beef lo mein.it had no sauce.and i wont have to put lip gloss on for a week.no flavor either.same with the pepper steak and onion.ordered on a monday.we only ordered because our place.asian yummy is closed on mondays.i will never order from them again

Went here for the first time and it was hit or miss.

The one great thing about this place is that they actually make fried rice instead of using that nasty, bland yellow fried rice that so many places in the area use. The fried rice was so good that I actually regret not just ordering that instead of lo mein.

My chicken lo mein was a little dry and hardly had any chicken in it. Crab rangoons & donuts were fried a little hard, but still edible. They forgot to give us the white rice with our general tso's chicken.

Prices are a little cheaper than a majority of places around York too. I'll definitely give this place another try in the future.

Ordered beef and vegetables and it’s basically beef and onions. Way too many onions. And it’s cold. So disappointed.

When I lived in York, PA I loved the food at Great Wall. No matter what was ordered, there were no disappointments in my order! Everything tasted great! I had to move out of Yor, PA at the end of 2000, I now live in Southern Florida, I've tried several Chinese restaurants, and although I found some food very good at one or two of them, I still cannot find one restaurant where I can order my entire meal from one restaurant. I have to order parts of each meal from different restaurants, and it's such a pain. I wish I could just find one restaurant where I can order the whole meal at once! I miss great wall! Can't believe that I. Annot find one Chinese restaurant that could match great wall in York!

Read online reviews and was really excited. Absolutely the worst Chinese carry out I’ve ever seen. Shrimp toast so over cooked it’s almost black. Wings are dry, overcooked and have an off taste. Dumplings are room temperature and tasteless. But the best part is the Beef pan fried noodles. Should be beef, veggies and noodles fried in a pan. Got a container of beef and veggies and a block of cold fried noodles. When I called to complain I was told that’s how WE do it and hung up on me. My daughters said their wings, fries, and General Tsp’s were decent, so there’s that. Proceed at your own risk.

Consistently good take out. We've tried a lot of different things and everything's been good. Quick, though sometimes they turn off online ordering.

First time customer. The food is alright, but I didnt get everything I ordered. They left 4 egg rolls out of the order. Probably never going back.

The thing I miss most about moving to Tennessee is losing the Great Wall's great food! I came back for a visit, and this was the first place I hit up. We've been coming here for over 20 years. We love it! We love him and his wife and kids!

Excellent serving sizes served steaming hot.certainly much better then your average chinese place.wait staff extremely well spoken and were patient with me as i looked over their massive menu.highly recommend.

Consistently some of the best Chinese takeout in all of York County. I have eaten virtually everywhere, sometimes more than once when people have expressed shock that we've had less than stellar experiences elsewhere, and Great Wall is consistently very satisfying. I consider this to be my second favorite area takeout place. Their service is often questionable, but the food always tastes good.

Order chicken and broccoli, beef spareribs, sesame chicken and sweet and sour combo, all of it was amazing! Took longer for the order to be made then what we were told, but they were also just so busy, and their food reflects why they were. 10/10

First time ordering here, because the place by where I live does not offer any type of delivery. It is DELICIOUS! I got one for my wife as well, she will definitely love it! Thank you.

Best egg drop soup ever, matter of fact all there food is amazing. The staff is always polite and welcoming.

I've never found another place with sweet and sour soup as good as this place! Its the best everytime. I was about 30 minutes late picking up my order and it was still hot and fresh! Haven't tried other things yet other than shrimp toast which was good. But would def like to try more!

Hands down best Chinese ribs per price in the area. Runner up for very good moo gai pan as well. Business stayed open most days during shutdown compared to other restaurants. Consistency of amount of ribs per order could use some work as well as sometimes this place can get very busy on weekends with long wait times.

This is the only Chinese restaurant I find to be satisfying for takeout my personal preference

Had to wait over 1 hour for my food when told I could pick up in 30 minutes. The egg rolls and rice were over cooked and there was no egg in the rice but lots and lots of peas. No sure if I'd order from them again.

This was the worst I've ever had. Got there at beginning of lunch hour. You would expect fresh food, It was obvious it was left over from previous day[s] and reheated. Horrible service also. Then my neighbor said.oh don't go there they have failed their inspection several times. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere.anywhere else.
