I continually press 0 for the receptionist desk and i have yet to have anyone answer the phone nor get back to me

Update* i have been waiting since feb 3 for a return payment that the ymca owed me for daycare services at the Phoenixville facility. I was constantly told that the corporate office in Conshohocken was aware of it and would return the payment promptly. Instead of returning the payment like i asked they purposely waited almost a month and contacted me refusing to return the payment stating that it had been long enough and i now owe them money. No one took my concern seriously most of the representatives i spoke with were very short highly rude and spoke to me in a very condescending manner. I basically felt bullied into handling the situation the way the ymca figured was convenient for them. I have never felt so disrespected and so disregarded. There are better day care facilities and gyms maybe this so called non profit isnt so much!

To whom it concerns,

I recently signed up for membership on 10/15, Dunmore, PA location. The rep who signed me up was very "efficient" in getting me signed up. She repeatedly told me that unlike all the other fitness places in the area they had more to offer and NO “hidden” fees, she repeated this 3-4 times during the sign up process that should have been my first red flag! I signed up went to go to the locker room to change and saw the towel person doing laundry and asked for a towel. I was told I would have to go back up to the front desk to talk with them. I went to front desk and spoke to the rep who had signed me up, she proceeded to tell me there was a $20/month towel service fee, so I jokingly said guess that is not a "hidden" fee. She added it to my account.fine I went and worked out. Facilities for actually working out are ok. The next evening I arrived and checked in one of the ladies at the from desk rudely told me that they were not FREE. They costs a $1/ day. I said is that not covered under my monthly service fee? She again rudely said, I do see that on your account. After a few minutes one of the other reps found that I did indeed have the service and I went on my way. Annoyed but just wanted to work out. This time when I got to the locker room, there were almost no lockers to be found without a lock on them, the couple I did locate without locks were clearly being used by others members. I asked one of the other guys there what the deal was with lockers and he said I had to get assigned one by the front desk, so back up to the front desk I went. The same rude reps were there, I ask to be assigned a locker and they informed me those are not free either. So by that point yes I was not in the greatest mood. I asked what does a locker cost? The rep then just keep telling me I could either use a locker in the hallway but that I could not leave anything in a locker overnight if I did not pay for one. So I again asked now for the 3x how much a locker costs and she just keep repeating that stuff could not be left in a locker if it was not paid for. Finally I said what DOES a locker cost? Oh well I do not know, she said, do you want a large one or a small. At that point I said cancel my membership. I filled out their cancellation form and left. The next day they charged my debit card for the membership and the towel service. Now after almost 2 weeks I have left numerous messages for Robert the head of membership services and James Thomas the director without any response. This morning I left a message for one of the people at the Wilke Barres offices and have not heard back from anyone.
It turely is not about the costs, if they had told me upfront it was $100/ month sure ok, but the fact that the first rep made such a stink about NO "Hidden" fee and then the other front desk people being so rude I would not have batted an eye. However to lie and then be so rude does not work for me. I have been in sales my enter career and If I ever treated or spoke to a customer like they did I would be terminated. So moral of the story is, ask for ALL costs you can possible image they could charge for upfront and then hope you never have to deal with the front desk again.

Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA Association is just a office located in Conshohocken Borough Hall. IF you need information about child care or location of YMCA you call this office. They handle all problems with YMCA locations only or help you find one near you. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8: 30am to 5: 00pm. Check about holidays and for people not familiar with the area their is no gym located here.

Abandoned Core Values-
Closes Pottstown Y CARELESSLY for members, youth, and elderly relying on the services. Show DISRESPECT for the entire town’s request to negotiate keeping the building open. Management was IRRESPONSIBLE in maintaining the building and keeping services for those most in need. DISHONEST with public by saying they can’t afford to fix our Y.
