Our builder uses Guardian to wire for internet in the new homes. Our builder includes “3 wires” but we told “3 outlets” by the Guardian rep. We sent a plan to the rep with 3 outlets (only 2 wires). They ignored our plan and installed wires and outlets as they would typically do (which, incidentally, requires the use of their equipment). Guardian refused to rewire to our plan but did add a wire as a work around. After an exchange of emails, we were not charged. However, the wiring is not to our specifications and makes our system more complicated. The rep was cordial on the phone and in emails.

Eric #3560 was awesome! Very nice person and very knowledgeable! Install was a breeze and showed us all features. Was very through! Would recommend!

Experienced a great customer service experience from guardian! From the person who answered the phone when I returned their call, to the supervisor, Rose, they were all very helpful, kind and thoughtful to my husband and I! Guardian has always been so responsive in all incidents. Today I had another smoke alarm go off (apparently need cooking lessons). So they offered to order me a pizza so I didn’t have to remake my lunch. So appreciative of their continued awesome customer service.

I burnt the pizza I was making for dinner.the smoke detectors were going off, my dog is barking, my phone is ringing and my child is running around looking for signs of a fire. Guardian called and asked if I was ok and If we need the fire department. I said no and explained what happened, thanked them and we hung up. Moments later they called back and were upset to hear I burned our dinner, they are replacing it with dinner from Domino's pizza. This is probably one of the kindest gestures and most helpful of any company I have been associated with

I highly recommended Guardian. Tonight, I burned dinner and set off our fire alarm. I received a call within seconds from Guardian asking if we were okay or needed emergency services. I quickly let Joe (our representative) know that we were fine, and it was me cooking (more like burning) dinner that set off the alarm. He said he was glad we were okay and would disable the alarm. Maybe a minute later, he called back and asked “did I hear you correctly - that your dinner was ruined”, and I said “yes, it burned which is what set off the alarm”, so he told me he was sending over a pizza for dinner and asked what we would like on it. My husband and I were astonished and so thankful for such a random act of kindness. Joe sent not one, but TWO pizzas exactly how we wanted them, and I am blown away. Guardian has been wonderful to us - we have been customers for about a year now, but this situation takes the cake. Hire a company that cares, like Guardian. I know I will be sharing this story with many more people than just a review. Thank you so much for making our weekend, Joe!

I have been with Guardian for 19 years. Each time I wanted to take advantage of their new equipment that changes almost immediately after they give you something, I was charged as well as had contract extended. The more recent event I wanted to transfer my services to remain with them based on longevity. To transfer my service I would have had to pay over $500 AND extend my contract which I had 2 years already remaining to another 5 years. You would think they would honor my tenure and my current contract. But nope. The other option was to cancel my entire relationship for $750. No other options provided. So yes. If I’m not treated as a valued long term customer I will pay the difference of the transfer cost to walk away.
So stay away from Guardian unless you want gouged in prices with zero client relationship in mind.

Guardian Protection Services is very good at keeping you secure. They always verify your name and password and are very helpful in making sure you have everything you need. They are very prompt in their responses to an alarm as well!

Guardian forgot to install 7 ground level window sensors, somehow passed thier quality check and only found out a year later when a software update was pushed to our panel. We were unprotected for a year despite have paid for the system and for the monthly fee. More importantly, we had a false sense of security when armed and I was out of town with my family at home. There is no excuse for this.

In addition, our alarm/modem/router box was installed with bent screws and a poor job with loose zip ties. The box was way too small and did not have space for a network switch. Complete hack job.

Update: Guardian provided 12 months of free monitoring. I upgraded the rating to a 3 out of 5 stats.

Pros- Customer Service, Emergency response time

Big thanks to Guardian Protection. Due to our cooking prowess, the fire alarm went off. After a few moments of embarrassment, Guardian called us back and sprung for a free pizza lunch. Thanks for making a memorable moment.
