Guitar Center reviews
7Went to sell some gear. The store Manager (Layne maybe?) went above and beyond to get me in and out as quick as possible. Would not hesitate to stop in again.
Horrible! Never have any stock, can’t get help even if your the only one in the store!
Told me $69 to repair my guitar including new strings then charged $105 and when I mentioned what I was quoted kid working the counter gave me the attitude! Will never step foot in this place again! I’ve purchased a half a dozen guitars from guitar center and this location has lost me as a customer for the entire company! I’ll take my money where I’ll be treated as a customer!
I was disappointed in my last trip there. I wanted to run and grab a set of 5A drumsticks and play a little on the good drums since my drums are very much a beginner set. There were no self-serve drumsticks out they were all behind the counter and all the employees were helping other people. Plus there were no drumsticks available at the drum set so I couldn't even sample the drums and play a little while I was waiting.
So I just left and got my drumsticks at Amazon
Inattentive employees. Waited over 20 minutes to see someone in drum department. Finally spoke to someone by front desk and waited another 5 minutes.
Had to leave without making my purchase: (
Ordered a piece of used gear from here that was listed in good condition on the website and the pictures showed it to be in good condition. Called multiple times before making the order to verify it was in good condition and was told that it was. I placed the order, received the item, and there was a large chunk of wood taken out of the back of the amp. They also sent me the wrong power cable for the amp which rendered it pretty much useless. Horrible customer service! They need to take lessons from Chick FIL A on how to treat customers. I returned the item and received a refund and will NEVER be ordering from Guitarcenter again. The store manager was nice though and gave me an update on the refund. He seems to be the only employee at the store who has a brain and cares about the customers. The employees need to do better at listing the damage of an item and taking pictures of damage.
I placed an online order for store pick-up at this location. This store is an 80 minute drive for me. I arrive at the store and they don’t have what I ordered in stock. The dude Marcus was really nice and apologetic about the whole situation, I kind of felt bad because of how nervous he seemed. I’ve worked retail before and understand these type of mistakes.
However… the kid Alex, or Alec, is your typical douchebag guitar store employee. Was bragging to another customer stating that he knows all the manager duties but isn’t a manager and just has a cocky attitude. I work in management in a field that involves customer service and he is somebody that I would never hire.
