HALAL KENNEDY FRIED CHICKEN AND SHAWARMA KING, Scranton PA

I just had to jump on and share a review after devouring their chicken gyro, and it was amazingly good! It was a bit more spicy than I would have liked, and was messy to eat but so good who really cares about those things. Lol. Also, the man attending the counter was very nice and friendly. Looking forward to coming back!

Halal Kennedy fried chicken changed my life for the irreversible better. Before their mix over rice, I was was depresssed, broke, had no girlfriend and couldn’t generate any motivation. Ever since I ate this amazing dish from a restaraunt that should be 3-star Michelin rated, I’ve been drowning in income, beautiful women, and luxury gifts for myself. I thank shawarma for their hospitality, unmatched kindness, and once in a lifetime experience. The sent will never be forgotten.

The halal platters are very delicious. You can ask the guys here, I pick one up at least once a week.

The chicken tenders are processed chicken so not the greatest, but they’re made to order so they’re very hot and tasty when you get them. The fried chicken pieces on the other hand are extremely delicious and decently juicy since they don’t sit on the hot plate for very long; it’s almost always busy here so the food that does sit on the hot plates doesn’t sit for very long.

This place has quickly become one of my regular haunts since it opened up. Highly recommend, prices are fantastic for what you’re buying too. Probably the cheapest fried chicken place I’ve seen tbh.

Fried fish was old, dry, and smelly. We ordered whiting and got tilapia.

Platters were still good, but their white sauce lacks flavor and has a thick mayo creaminess that I haven't experienced when eating the dish at other restaurants.

There was some confusion around ordering as well. Honestly, I won't be back for a while, but I wouldn't hesitate to tell someone to grab a platter or cheesesteak from here.

Cheesesteak, chicken and lamb platters and Honey BBQ wings are worth getting.

Fried chicken was good not great and skip the soggy fries.

If you are picking up a door dash order be prepared to show the receipt. We will definitely be back!

Opened recently clean establishment good hours and the prices are what they should be defenitly worth a stop.

We ordered from here this past weekend and the experience was ok. The chicken and lamb over rice was really good, the meat was very tender and flavorful. We also got an order of fried chicken, fries and mac n cheese. I want to say that the chicken was ok, but it was on the dry side. I’m not sure if it was dry because we ordered around 10: 30-11pm and the chicken was sitting out all day but wasn’t the best. The Mac n cheese was spoiled and expired. It smelt like rotten milk and taste sour so we were very disappointed by that. I’ll give it another try depending on what I order.

Excellent and packed with flavor we had the chicken and rice as well as the beef gyro meals. Will be back very soon!

Very good tasting food and chicken was fresh. The only problem would be that you can't really sit down and eat, have to order takeout but the food was very good and the service was great. The People were very nice.

Best place to order takeout in southside. Order some lamb or chicken over salad/rice and you'll agree.
