Hampton Inn Scranton At Montage Mountain

Just a word to the wise. There's is a nice path around the hotel, but don't follow it towards the Italian restaurant. It's out of business and the path is overgrown.

It was everything I expect from a Hampton Inn. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, fresh sheets, etc.

The breakfast was possibly better than I typically expect from a complimentary breakfast because the sausage was dope.

If you are considering visiting, do note that the entrance is a little bit tricky to find, and to a newcomer, Scranton's roads are a bit of a DOT practical joke, but it's definitely a comfortable place to sleep.

Nice property, friendly, helpful Front desk staff. The rooms are clean and well maintained.
Easy to find. Pool and hot tub on site. Close drive to local restaurants.
Plenty of free parking.

Not impressed. Stayed there this past weekend. The restaurant is permanently closed. No where within walking distance to get a bite. Pool is now closed as well. Rooms are smaller than most. No microwaves in the rooms. Clean, but not worth the large rate when there are 3 other hotels within 1 mile at a better price with more amenities.

This place was nice. Hotel manager was super friendly and attentive, he greeted his guests upon their arrival. Rooms were spotless. A bit expensive but it’s expected since it’s located right near Montage Mountain and PNC Field. We were at montage for a concert and found the location of this hotel extremely convenient.

Hotel could use some updating - rehab rooms. Front sliding doors sound like they need some attention - rumble when opening and closing. Food options were sparse.hope that changes after COVID. Better restaurant options on the other side of Montage Mtn off Radcliff Road.

Hetel recently adopted a pet-friendly status - while this may be good for pet owners who travel with their pets, the noise is almost unbearable - major negative corporate choice in my opinon. Maintenane of the rooms left soemthing to be desired and outside temperatures below 50 degrees all day and the room had the AC blasting when we arrived. A little less focus on ad nauseum dinsifecting and a little more attention to the basics.

Good views, clean rooms, parking. Recommend stay. Breakfast was continental, maybe it was after pandemic. Would love to have Hampton Inn's signature full breakfast back!

Room was clean. The bed was OK, a bit too hard for me, but the employees there were excellent.everyone of them. They made it 5 stars.

The employees are nice and respectful. The hotel and our room was cleanish. There was no microwave and there wasn’t a thermostat to control the temperature. The check-in process was easy. The building was clearly old. This should be a 2 star hotel instead of a 3 star hotel.

The only thing that was really irritating is the lack of breakfast. Most places allow dine-in and most mask mandates are pretty gone so I don’t understand why hotels still have those muffins in a package. (Every hotel regardless of chain only has those muffins lol) You’ve gotta have something else besides processed muffins and processed boiled eggs in a plastic package. Either advertise no breakfast or provide real edible fresh food.

Friendly, clean & inviting with a beautiful view. Only downside was the Pool was closed. Will stay again if & when the Pool is open

I’ve stayed here in the past, more than 10 years ago. It’s nothing like it use to be. This room was gross. We paid extra for the fireplace room. That was the only good part about our night. Our heater was so unbelievably nosy we couldn’t sleep, besides the bed being hard as a rock. I wish I was kidding but we had lower back pain in the morning. The fridge was falling out of the wall, literally. We found a bundle of hair in the bathroom garbage, which obviously wasn’t ours. The best thing about our first night away was the front desk employee, he was so pleasant! I wish I got his name to compliment him. I was going to contact a manager about our issues but we had so much to do that day & figured what would they do. So disappointed.

Had to stop due to a snow storm. Staff very friendly, helpful and I needed a late checkout due to weather. Highly recommend

Rooms were fully cleaned and sanitized with a seal of approval to show no one has been in since it had been cleaned. They do also have grab an go breakfast, the coffee is

I didn't get the opportunity to stay at this hotel. I booked it yesterday, but my plans got cancelled and I cancelled my reservation on time. However, to my surprise, I woke up today to a pending charge in my account. I called the hotel and spoke to Brandon, whom informed me that since I cancelled the reservation online through a third party booking site, it didn't show up as having been cancelled on time on their end. So, he said he'd have it reversed back to my card and it should take 3 business days. Just like that. No run around, no bad attitude. Just results. Even though waiting will be a bit of an inconvenience, I'm okay with that because the service was excellent! I ended up having to call the hotel twice because I had never received the refund confirmation in my email, but he was still very polite and accommodating. Customer service may not seem like a big deal to everyone, but having been in the industry for many years, it makes me feel good when Customer Service Professionals are just that - professional! I'm sure I'll receive the email soon and can't wait to book another room and get to enjoy this hotel! Thanks again Brandon, for being awesome and efficient!

Had a very nice stay. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. They provided hand sanitizer at the elevators which was a nice touch.

Very unclean the staff is very unpleasant and rude you can't even get clean towels we were given towels with actuall blood stains on them.

Super customer friendly. Check-in and out was seamless. Not at all busy, but we are past Fall Foliage and before ski season.

Excellent updated hotel. Rooms were very clean, comfortable beds. Staff helpful. Breakfast was just a snack bar. But all in all excellent place to stay.
