This park is fabulous but one item needs immediate attention. My child got stuck in this swing (pictured) when I swung the yellow front piece into place. It was able to click into place but would not get released when I tried. I ended up calling out to a nearby walker for help so that we could both pull from opposite ends in order to release her. I am posting this because the dog walker said I was the second person who had called for his help, and then the other family at the playground said it had stuck for them as well. If it weren’t for this swing, the park would deserve a 5!

We visited Hansell Park after a busy day at Peddler's Village. The park stands out for the following reasons:

The visitor's restroom was clean and easy to access.

Although the grounds are quite large, there was minimal trash.

In addition to the open area, there is a small yet enjoyable wooded trail, a pond, picnic tables and a playground.

We hope to visit again when we are in the area!:)

Fields are kept very nice. Playground is age appropriate and paths are clear and well kept.

Great place to walk with my son and dog, nice playground and is generally pretty quiet/uncrowded.

What a hidden treasure. The park is midday empty. It is so silent and peaceful. I like this park as its not very crowded, there are several walking trails and a nice pond. Also nearby is an amphitheatre like structure which is thought was a nice addition. You can walk on paved trails or embark behind a wooded area. I went before leaves grew in so it was very sunny.
