Absolutely LOVE this little bookshop. It's so beautiful and colorful and warm inside. And Black-owned. They have an awesome selection of books by Black, BIPOC, and non-Black writers. Books on food, novels, memoirs and much more! They have a swanky used book section too downstairs. I also really appreciate how they tie up your books with a bow, like a gift. It feels special. It is special. Keep this energy.

This place will make you want to spend thousands. Their selection of books are diverse and enlightening. A beautiful display & design of monochrome walls and shelving with towers of books perched precariously here & there. Ugh. I went in and spent an hour just reading book covers. Love this place. Will def be spending a majority of my paycheck here. If you're on the fence about stopping in, even if they don't have what you're looking for, get off the fence & stop in for more. More of a diverse selection than you could imagine

I never have a bad or even average experience in Harriet's. The customer service is always warm and attentive. The store ambiance is inviting and curated in a way that makes me want to browse awhile. I appreciate the book selection and I love to sit on the back patio and read.

Magical little book store. $5 books in the basement. The cashier wrapped our books in twine and lavender. It made my day.

Always welcoming and the art of it all is an added bonus.
The Sisterhood Trolley Rebel Ride was the best experience! Highly recommend

I enjoyed the space and the collection of books! I visited from ATL on 2/5/23 and only had a few hours in Philly. I forget the name of the bookkeeper on staff that day, his vibe was great. Harriet’s was the highlight of my day. Picked up a book from my wishlist and a vintage gem. I can tell this place is a labor of love and deep intention. I’m so happy it exists in the world.

A friend from out of town looked it up so I took her to spend a few minutes. It had that ' new smell. ' Never experienced that b4. Guess it's part of the reason I stayed for over an hr. Quiet, wide assortment of newest books with a decent selection of times-past. Mostly non-fiction but I don't look for much. Waayy too easy to please, I think.

There are moments in life when you suddenly realize you've happened upon greatness. For me, I knew it with my very first step inside the door. A room beautifully crafted with creative moxie, brilliant curation, and obvious intention. Anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to visit this magical gem and support something larger than themselves. Not only did Harriet's Bookshop have many of the books I was looking for, they ordered the ones they sold out of for me to be picked up later. Treat yourself to a visit! I can't wait to go back.
