Hartman Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Mechanicsburg PA

Jim, Dr. Hartman, and the person who did my x ray were kind pre-surgery. After surgery, I had a panic attack (crying and hyperventilating) and a woman got in my face and yelled at me stop crying and making myself pass out. I asked, “why are you being rude, ” and then ignored that comment and continued scolding me. While she went and got my friend in she told said friend that I wasn’t ok because I was calling her mean. When my friend came in, Dr. Hartman asked if we were sisters (we’re both East Asian American). My white friends had great experiences both pre and post surgery here, so I’m sure for most people they’re great. I personally had an anxious and rude experience.

They were wonderful. I had a rather large torus removed from the roof of my mouth. They made a retainer to protect the incision. I had minimal pain and could eat normally. Very caring and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Wonderful office. Everyone is so nice and friendly. They answered all our questions. Would highly recommend them!

Very good, they were able to squeeze me in to have 8 teeth out. Quick & relatively painless given what they had to do.

*EDIT* Some time after promising me that my insurance would cover the entirety of the bill, I received a bill that I have been fighting for the last several years. I have no idea who ‘owns’ this supposed debt, & therefore no way of fighting it, despite it affecting my credit score.
In short, this place does great work, but get it in writing if they promise not to bill you.

So my daughter was referred to this office because she is a bigger person. We though things where good. WRONG. DR. HARTMAN TOLD HER HE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE DOING HER TEETH BECAUSE OF HER WEIGHT. HE CALLED HER FAT. WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU GET OFF TELLING MY DAUGHTER SHE NEEDS TO WORK OUT AND LOSE MORE WEIGHT BEFORE YOU SEE HER. YOU SIR DONT GET TO TELL HER THAT. SHE ALREADY SUFFERS FROM SELF ESTEEM PROBLEMS AND YOU VERBALLY TELLING HER THAT YOU WANT HER TO LOOSE WEIGHT DOES NOT HELP. I THINK YOUR PATIENTS NEED TO KNOW HOW YOU DONT TREAT ALL PATIENTS EQUAL. Shame on you. She is just a kid. She has always struggled. Your not nice. We will not return. I will not refer anyone to you.
Shame shame shame. If I could leave negative stars I would.

Dr Michael Hartman provided excellent, state of the art, efficient, cheerful care for my 3 implant procedures! He and his office are top notch. I highly recommend Dr Hartman.

As an employee for a dental insurance I see the worse of the worse cases. At this location they make sure and confirm clearly what is owed and not owed, also an even better part if money is owed back they are quick with wanting to issue it back! I would have to say the amount of professionalism and bed side manner that this office has, is probably the best in the area especially with people who have insurance and don’t know much about it. So thank you for taking care of my wife since she was quite nervous lol

My regular dentist referred me here to get some teeth pulled with a minor surgery. Everything seemed really good; the office staff took all my info and the day of the surgery told me all I owed was $145 and the insurance would cover the rest. Did the surgery with no problem and then the bill came. The office staff sent the claim to my dental and medical insurance causing both to get denied. When it finally got fixed, they only sent a claim of $600 to my dental insurance and over $3000 to my medical. My medical is denying it because it's dental but the office staff won't put it through my dental again. When I called about the invoice I received for thousands of dollars, the office staff told me it wasn't a bill and they were just trying to work things out with my insurance. Next thing I know I'm being told the bill is going to collections. This office staff is absolutely incompetent and it brings the business down. Will not ever go here again nor refer people.

Awesome! The best I have found in the area. Dr. Hartman is a funny guy who knows what he is doing and makes you as comfortable as possible. His staff is awesome too.
