Hassen Creek Nature Trail reviews
15I love this trail. It’s super hilly and seems a bit long lol. The waterfall is nice. It’s really pretty
Great little trail for a workout with a waterfall at the end! Beautiful fall day and the 1/2 mile took a little more effort than we expected. Our only comment is that with al the leaves a few blazes would be nice.
Short trip to a small man-made waterfall and back. Closest thing to taking a walk in the woods near me.
One review said this trail was hard. This trail was not only easy but simple. The trail is 4 to 5 ft wide and looks to be initially built using gravel. There are no roots to trip on, and no rocks protruding. I saw a mother and her 2 to 3-year-old son walking casually on the trail.
It is a good place to find yourself with nature, I was completely alone but I found the way to the waterfall. Relaxing and peaceful.
Not an outstanding place for bird watching but at certain times of the year you can pick up winter specialties such as brown creeper possibly great horned owl kinglets and so forth.
Very nice trail. Easy hike done by a few adults, a 10 and 14 year old and a dog. Small waterfall at the end with creek to explore.
Date of visit Tuesday August 24,2021. I finally found the time to visit here. The trail is wet and steep but I had my cane with me which was a great help. The waterfalls is neat. It was so refreshing to be near the water for a few minutes. I didn't see any wildlife on this trip.
As a very new hiker I really enjoyed this trail. There are hills but I took my time and I was okay. To get to the water fall there is a very steep hill, again I took my time and had a more experienced hiker with me to help me along and give me a hand. The nature and waterfall were beautiful and definitely made it worth the steep hill
Haven't walked the whole trail yet but so far it seems pretty nice. Little bits of vandalism around that need to be cleaned up.
Sadly a very short trail, the waterfall is man-made, and was.disappointing to say the least. Top 10 worst hikes.
Nice and short hike. Needs a little clean up for the first 200 yards. Not alot of parking.
It was awesome I only walked until I discovered the waterfall Im sure I only walked a small fraction of the area but it was all so beautiful
Fun, short hike (just under 0.5 miles) on the grounds of an old Portland Cement complex. If you look for them, remnants of old foundations can be found amongst the trees (look for the historical placards to help you out). Several elevation changes which will be no problem even for inexperienced hikers. The small waterfall over a decaying dam provides great end-hike gratification. Good for kids and pets; the trail is a bit damp so bring your outdoor shoes. Enough parking for ~8 vehicles at the trailhead.
Absolutely wonderful!
I really enjoyed the plackers getting you information about the land and its history. The main trail is large and enough room to comfortably walk around others. The waterfall is a perfect stopping point for dogs or kids to cool off.
We will be back!
