Havertown Bicycle Shop

Two local 13 year olds walk in to request help pumping a tire (on an electric scooter, but hey, business is business). Before they could even say a word, the person working blurted out that he didn’t work on those, so the kids left. These kids also have bikes but weren’t using them on this particular day. These kids are local to the community and have shopped there before. Why turn away business? I always try to shop local and support my local businesses, but after the way this business has treated my son and his friend, I will look elsewhere for service.

Had a pleasant experience buying a Marin Rift Zone from here. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer your questions. If you’re looking for a new bike this place should be first on your list.

I went in for a repair, was charged a reasonable price, and my bike was ready a few days sooner than expected. When I picked up, the shop owner noticed that my bike needed a few minutes of additional work and finished the repair on the spot. I’m impressed with my experience and will be returning in the future.

Went in for a new U-lock, staff pointed out an issue I had overlooked on my own bike! Very helpful, great selection of bikes and accessories. Deals on some used items, too. I got a secondhand floor pump for a sawbuck. Will definitely be back for any bike needs.

Amazon and online are nice for hard-to-find items, but this shop has everything bike related so I will always shop local when given the choice.

I paid 125 for a tune up and new brake pads/a new cable system for the rear brake. They had it done within like 4 days or so. I have no clue if this is a low, average, or high price/wait time but my og yard sale Schwinn rides better than it ever has before thanks to this shop

We came in looking for 2 bicycles for our 2 teens. John and his crew did not disappoint. They greeted us right away, despite having multiple other customers in and out. Took the time and chatted with us and our kids to find the right bikes for them. They made some minor adjustments to the bikes before sending us on our way making sure everyone was satisfied. Also told us about the free tune ups they offer with every bike purchase. This was our first time here and now we won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend you stop in the next time you are in need of a bicycle.
