I fully went mountain climbing when I meant to go hiking. The view from the overlook is incredible, but SET YOURE EXPECTATIONS: when you arrive at Hawk Rock you will not be greeted by a boss fight against a giant hawk made of stone. There are some regular hawks, but please leave them alone
NOT the trail to do with a 6 month old and a disobedient dog lol. Have baby/dog sitter, will return.
It takes about half an hour to climb up from the parking lot at the bottom of the mountain. It is relatively steep and there are many rocks. It is best to wear hiking shoes. The stone that can see the river is not on the map after reaching the top of the mountain at the position near the river
Awesome view on the top. There are interesting places on the trail itself.it is not long or difficult. Easy to follow. There are some stone stairs in one spot. However, it almost continuously goes up. It is a good cardio exercise. My heart rate was 140 bpm.at times.
I don't know how everyone else arrived at this Sherman's Creek Rd location but it is private property. There is a single lane dirt road that passes by many homes with Private Property" signs on there structures. Beautiful area though.
