Hawthornes, Philadelphia PA

Food is amazing. All of it. Queer friendly space always packed on weekends. All season outdoor dining sections and they bring screens on to 11th street for Philly sports games. All around fantastic unique community spot for dates or a group of friends.

Had brunch here on my family’s recent trip to Philly, such a great place. The food, staff and atmosphere were all amazing!

It's okay. It's not terrible but it's not worth going out of your way. The food is good, the drinks were less than (and expensive!) and it took a long time for anyone to acknowledge us once we were seated. It's definitely more of a family place so definitely go if that's what you're looking for but we've walked by and have been tempted many times but sadly didn't really feel memorable. We were there for 2 hours in all but I can't really blame the server as there seemed to be only one person managing many tables on a Sunday.

(TL;DR) : If you go and they say it will be an hour wait, just move on.

Great brunch spot, mostly decent prices w/ lots of outdoor seating but don't order a juice it's crazy overpriced.

Good food, the menu wasn’t very clear so when i ordered something expecting a certain dish i didn’t get that so that kind of sucked but besides that the service was fast the drinks were lowkey mid but yeah not you’re ideal place for brunch but if you’re in a crunch deff a good spot to go to

I didn’t see anything I wanted on the menu, but the waitress offered off menu items. Very accommodating and pleasant.

I LOVE everything about Hawthornes! The food is delicious, the service is always amazing and accommodating, and the atmosphere is perfect! It's a favorite spot of mine, for sure!

The short rib pasta was incredible! Service was fast and prices were reasonable too. Only downside is that many of the outside tables are right on the bike path, so we had bikes racing by within a few inches of the table.

This is just next door to my son's home, so this place is our go to for quick meal.
Their tacos and burgers are delicious but we especially go for the sinful brownies.

Can’t believe I’ve never been to this place while living in Philly, and it took a trip back after moving away to finally get here. All I can say is if you want a nice place to have a great brunch this is the place. If you can get a table outside on a beautiful day that’s even better. My chorizo breakfast burrito was top notch and the service and conversation we had with our server Cody made the experience that much better. You better believe next time we’re in town I’ll be visiting again!

This is the type of place that never disappoints. It's great for all people. They are willing to modify dishes for food preferences and allergies. I've been here for brunch, lunch and dinner many times, always having great service and food.

When I tell you the food was BANGIN, I hope they never get rid of the chef or change the recipe, that chicken sandwich, chicken & waffle AMAZING!
Great dining experience

First time here! I highly recommend the chicken and waffles! Don't forget the poached egg on top. Phenomenal!

The food was just OK, I'm not dying to go back but it's a nice family friendly place in the neighborhood to eat outside.
