Hazle Park Meats & Groceries reviews
18Very good macaroni salad n potato salad, little over priced but that's expected being they the only grocery store local
The ladies there were sweethearts, and we were pleased to find that they carry the good Dietz & Watson pickles, including the pickled tomatoes our local grocery never seems to stock.
Excellent small grocery. Top of the line butcher's & meat & poultry selection. It has been my choice for beef quality for 20 years.
Hidden Jem near Lake Harmony / Big Boulder Lake! They make hot homemade to go meals daily, which can save you big during a stay. Deli salads are very good and also homemade. Hot and cold sandwiches are great. They have a little bit of everything you need from a food store/deli including some nice cuts of steak for your BBQ grill. Worth the visit!
Limited selection and a bit pricey for standard shopping. Good for emergency runs to the market. I recommend the meat counter 100%.
Came in to get a nice piece of meat to be broiled indoors instead of grilled because of the weather. Had an amazing person actually look up ideas! Lovely!
Very small, over priced (HUGELY OVER PRICED), so they're either taking advantage of the locals who don't want to drive into Mt. Pocono, or they're taking advantage of the tourists. I do not recommend the cured sausage sticks they are selling for $18.99 per pound. The jalapeno had no flavor whatsoever, and the spicy had absolutely no spice or heat. Four sticks was $6.85. Do not recommend, make the drive into Mt. Pocono!
This somewhat primitive grocery store makes for a decent backup option for those living nearby when in need of a common item. The consistent "homey" atmosphere is something nice to observe.
We live locally and love to support this market in between bigger grocery trips. Made-to-order sandwiches are great. They also offer hot takeaway dinners. They have all the essentials you need whether you live here or are just visiting. I don't think the butcher is full service for specialty cuts and requests, but we've always enjoyed the meat from the case.
Quintessential small grocery store to me. I grew up in the area during the 90s. My family would frequent this store every Sunday after church for lunch items. Very good cold cuts and kaiser rolls perfect for tomato sandwiches.
Nice and small store. There is a little deli and meat counter in the store. Everyone seemed really friendly and welcoming. They had a few of the essentials such as bread, salt, pepper, single use baking containers, and plastic utensils. This is a small store in a small town so I did not expect to find gluten free or vegan options unless it was fruit or veggies and I was correct. There was a small assortment of fruits and veggies but again, this is a small store in a small town. They had a large freezer section but the freezer was mostly empty. Overall, a good place to stop if you need some seasonings or regular bread but not a great spot if you have food allergies.
Great local store inviting picture cuts and fresh meats as well as a good section of fresh vegetables, another hard to get good items
I really wanted to love this store as it's locally owned and operated, but alas I felt no love. It's a smallish grocery store with large deli and meat counters that were decently stocked. Although there were few customers around, I waited nearly 10 minutes at the meat counter. The man working walked to me and grunted, "what do you want? " I asked for a lb of sausage links which he stuffed into a small plastic takeout container, bending and shoving them to fit. I really liked the look of the pork chops too, but his demeanor was so poor that I took the sausage and walked away.
The rest of the store aisles were hit and miss.some okay and others with scant items available. Half the freezer section was empty. The egg cartons were scary.some short of a dozen and others filled with filthy eggs or cracked ones.
The checkout process is slow and old fashioned with stamped price tags and a cashier who seemed unsure of what she was doing.
I will give the place one more try, since we all have bad days now and then. But I suspect I'll eventually give in and hit up the local Shoprite.
Don't expect much from this place. I'm disappointed every time I go there. Their service along with there product selection are subpar.
I have it 5 stars for the meat only. Very good butcher. The rest of the store has outrageous prices. It's in an area with no major food stores so mustard is 3xs the price
Good variety for a small grocery store. The deli department was great. The staff made you feel really welcome. Prices were good.
Rude. I called asking about ordering salads for the holiday and was curtly told we don’t take orders over the phone. This isn’t the first time I was spoken to rudely, but it will be the last.
Saw the good reviews, but had a cardboard sign on the door that they were CLOSED the day I went (Thursday) so tried the next day. Still closed. Disappointing.
