We really enjoyed our time staying at the Hershey Lodge. We went for a work trip but had a lot of free leisure time as well. We took our 2 year old and 8 year old to play at the mini golf course which was nice. We also let them play at the hotel’s indoor arcade for a bit. The arcade is not free btw. The main attraction for us was the Hershey’s Waterworks indoor pool area. It was awesome! We had such a blast! The lodge offers plenty of fabulous restaurants and a couple of quick eatery’s. We will hopefully visit again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a few small complaints - the mirrors in our room were dirty, no one ever brought the hair dryer we asked for, and the drink machine had a skimmer on it so we had to cancel a debit card for fraud. That aside, the resort is lovely and my kids loved the indoor water stuff. Breakfast from Stacks was so good too.

This place is absolutely not worth the money. Our room was $400+/night and the room quality is about the same as a $100/night best western. Do not waste your money here.

We thought an inclusive package would be a great experience, but that was not the case. Our package included breakfast, but the check-in person failed to tell or give use the required tokens, and the staff was neither apologetic or really concerned.though they refunded us a few dollars for the missed meals. Worse, the bus to the park from the resort was overrun.we waited 45 minutes in line - 2 buses ahead of us - and then sat in traffic for another 15. On the last day, we just drove to the park and paid again for parking and skipped the package included bus. Not the value, convenience nor the service we expected, especially for the price we paid. They want to be Disney.but they ain't Disney. Do not recommend.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and everything nice and clean. The hotel is close to so many things

3 stars overall, but would consider staying again for the right trip.
Pros:
-Good for kids/family trip
-Indoor pool area is nice
-Shuttle to Hersheypark is great
-Lobby area is welcoming with room to sit and spread out
-Activities for kids are a nice touch. Tickets for Hershey Gardens and Hershey Museum were a nice inclusion

Cons:
-Rooms are dated and ours had a “musty” smell, which is noted in other reviews. Bedding was thin and cheap material
-No housekeeping; you have to hunt down staff for towels and throw your old towels and trash in the hall. This was not communicated at check in.
-Hotel is expansive and parking can be tough. Some rooms are not at all convenient to enjoying hotel pools and activities
-Staff training is lacking. Some were generally nice, but others were less than welcoming

A tough call on returning, as serious improvements are needed. For a small and short family trip, there are benefits to the Hershey Lodge

Room was wonderful. Ordered room service (breakfast). Food was excellent and still hot upon arrival. Employees very friendly and helpful.

This is very much a conference center hotel. It's very spread out and confusing to navigate. Rooms are light on theming.

We love the Hershey Lodge! We've stayed several times and know it'll be a go-to place for our family. The staff at checkin was super friendly and checked me in very quickly! My kids loved the free chocolate! The rooms are nice but I wouldn't say they're anything special. The outdoor pool was not open when we stayed. My boys loved water works and enjoyed the indoor splash pad and pools. The arcade is limited, so that's a bummer for them. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of restaurants on site to get a good meal. Stacks would probably be my favorite for breakfast! We also had breakfast one day at fire and grain. Not so good, I asked for eggs fried hard, and they were runny. My husband asked for eggs medium, and they looked like they weren't even cooked. Yuck! We dined at Revelry for dinner one night, and it was EXCELLENT! The wait staff was on top of everything, the food was terrific, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Also kid friendly, which is a plus! Also dined at the Bears Den one night, and that's good for burgers and fries and drinks! The restaurants don't take reservations between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so the wait time can be a bit much, especially when you have small children in the group. The gift shop is lovely but I wish it had more of a selection. Love that there is a bus from the lodge to the park.

Good pool. Horrible restaurant selection. Would not take reservations at hotel restaurants if staying here. Bad customer service. Probably not stay here again.

The location is great. The service is amazing. The rooms need to be updated. There is a distinct smell.could be mold, could be mildew.all I know is the rooms smelled very badly. I had a lavender spray, and that covered it a little, but when you would leave and come back, the odor would smack you in the face. The price you pay for the room is not worth it. I will not stay there in the future unless the rooms have been updated and the odor has been addressed.

We stayed at the lodge for a couple of nights while we visited Hershey Park. The shuttle to the park and early access to it for lodge customers sold us.

On arrival, the check-in process was atrocious. The little parking they had in front of the hotel was full, so you either had to park 1/4mi away, or circle until you got lucky (we circled).

Once inside, it got worse. There were 25+ people waiting to get checked in. The lodge did have anywhere from 4 to 6 people checking us in, but only ONE of those pulled from our long line. The others would always pull from the "express line", which never had more than 2-3 people waiting, and they never waited more than a few minutes. No exaggeration, it was 40 minutes before I got checked in.

The room was ok. Extremely dated, but clean and comfortable, so we were ok with it.

The next morning we make our way with the kids to the shuttle aaaaand. Another. Long. Line. They clearly didn't have enough shuttles running because it was 30 minutes before the shuttle came. Add that to the 10min ride, and we get to the park 20min before it opens to everyone.

The shuttle back was another 20min wait. Here I thought it was at the park itself I'd be waiting in lines, but nope. It was the lodge!

In short: the location is great, but the lodge is 100% NOT worth staying at, especially for what it costs.

Stay at a nearby hotel and drive to the park, it's a far better option.

I was so excited to stay here and after a stormy, rainy day at Hershey Park headed to the Lodge at 4: 30 for what was supposed to be a 4pm check in. I had two of my young kids with me and we were all wet from the park and rain storm. I waited 45 minutes (cold since we were wet) in line to check in, just to be told my room wasn’t ready. I was told they would text me as soon as the room was ready so i left my luggage with the bellhop and I took my kids to grab some food. All cold and wet still. We went to a restaurant and waited another two hours for a text to arrive letting me know the room was ready. That text never came. My husband showed up with my other son (both also cold and wet from another storm, at this point 3.5 hours after check in time) and waited on line to check our room status. At this point he was told the room was ready but gave no explanation for why they hadn’t contacted me. They left us (3 young kids) cold and wet and waiting with nowhere to go for four hours. We finally made it to the room and our luggage wasn’t here. It’s been a very disappointing stay so far, and after hearing nothing but glowing reports from friends who have stayed here, I’m very disappointed. For the price I am paying this level of service is unacceptable.

Totally worth it to stay here if you go to Hershey Park. Wish it was a little cheaper, but honestly if this hotel wasn't so much fun and had such an accommodating atmosphere and staff the trip to Hershey (not really the best park for a 4 yo) would have been a bust. The bar tenders were awesome, both kitchens we went to were so good to my niece who has a really bad nut allergy (one of our waitresses actually stopped to hug her and have a chat because she kind of got overwhelmed and was crying, it was incredible), and my 4yo loved getting ice-cream and candy and chatting with everyone there. (which is crazy because he hates talking while we're home. Maybe all the sugar) The indoor water park is just a pool with a couple of slides and a play hut, but I guess you can call it a water park. Still had good times there. This hotel is far from the park, but they have a shuttle service that runs all the time. And the place is close to other amenities. I didn't end up using anything but the restaurants, shops and pool at the hotel though.

Dirty rooms. Small pool. Staff almost all have attitude problems. Restaurants onsite are low quality and high price. Nice landscaping and lobby. Everything else was substandard at the Hershey Lodge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hershey Park! My family had a great time at the Hershey Lodge! The characters were fun to see around the lobby for picture opportunities and Mom loved the seasonal latte from the Cocoa Beanury The indoor waterpark was great for our second day when the park got really busy and we needed a break from the heat. The shuttle was very easy to take back and forth; it was always there and ready when we needed it. The staff was especially friendly and attentive They held our souvenirs for us so they wouldn’t melt before we went home. Overall it was a special few days and I would recommend the Hershey Lodge for anyone with a young family!

Fantastic place to stay. The park shuttles were great. We stayed 3 nights and my only issue was no housekeeping. No fresh towels or trash pulled.
