Hickory Run State Park Office and Campground

We visited on a Saturday morning in October with a forecast of possible showers and light rain, and we saw very few people. Visited hawk falls and walked shades of death trail. Very beautiful area.

This is a huge spectacular park office with great rangers. Take some time to look around. I stopped at Hickory run on a whim and loved my two days stay here.

I have been to this place 8 years ago and visited a month back for camping. This place is amazing, very well maintained, clean, nice restrooms but the number of sites per restroom size could be better. Staffs makes sure the clean restrooms are available for use everyday morning. Unfortunately we were stuck on thunderstorm weekend and all the waters were drained well to nearby creek. So no issues if you think the water might stay at campsite. Check in was easy and onsite campsite is available for any last minute purchase. Nearby food are available within 6 mile distance. Woods we get from campsite was not great and the price is bit higher than outside. Great children’s play area, amphitheater, each loop has strategically placed restrooms / washroom.

PA State Park Passport stickers are outside the front door of the park office. At the front desk inside they have stamps for Hickory Run, Lehigh Gorge and Necopeck State parks.

I've been going here since 2019 and never disappointed me or my family and we always make memories but a lot of bears though (witch is expected) and hikes are beautiful 5 out of 5 should recommend for any trip

The new office is really nice! I really the walk exhibit room! Lots of cool stuff there! The campground is nice. There's a camp store that sells bundles of firewood which I supply them with! Right off of route 534.

Nice state park and camp grounds. Beautiful little creeks for trout fishing and close to the lehigh river. Great hiking trails and close to the D&L trail and lehigh gorge for bike riding.

The rangers lack of knowledge of the park was very disappointing.
The ladies in the visitor center seemed bothered by questions about the trails and were very busy speaking amongst themselves.
The trail maps are poorly drawn and missing information.
This is a really nice park, I hope they can get it together and get the information out to the visitors that come here.
The interactive exhibit in the visitor center was great for the kids.
