Hidden Springs Campground, Clearville PA

I personally camped at this location growing up when it was under different management and I can say they new owners made great changes making the place look better and I can see they are still improving the grounds. This trip was my wife and I. We liked the location of our spot but the weekend spots are on the smaller side. Some barely enough room for one vehicle. Another thing that's keeping me at a three star review is the visitor fee. I can understand the overnight fee but having a guest pay money just to come visit you at your own camper seems a bit much. Overall its a nice place to stay.

First time there and really enjoyed my time.
Currently shopping for a new seasonal campground to park the 5th wheel.

We Always have a great time at Hidden Springs Campground. The owners are great! The campground is well maintained.the pool is very nice we saw kids having alot of fun. They were fishing, biking, playing on the playground, playing baseball and having a nice time kid friendly, well maintained campground. We highly recommend it

Came to Hidden Springs on the recommendation of my co-worker, who is a seasonal with his family. Super loved it! The sites are spacious, owners were awesome, activities were fun, people were just downright friendly! Pool was ready for swimming this weekend, my husband and son had a blast fishing the pond (the fish enjoy beef sticks!), and my mom and I enjoyed the bingo Saturday night. The seasonal sites were some of the best I’ve seen, very spacious and very well kept. I don’t use the bathhouses but always check them out for review purposes and will say this was the CLEANEST one I have seen, hands down! There is a little laundry facility as well. Seems to be a lot of upgrades being made to the property and we will definitely be back! Two great big thumbs up to Hidden Springs! Oh, and Oliver the mastiff approves as well!

A simple campground that does everything right. Ownership cares and staff are friendly. Firewood is fantastic!

Pool is torn up and looks as if it will be for the rest of 2022 summer. Not much for kids to do.there is one play ground but not much on it. Roads are gravel and really, really dusty.just be warned ahead of time you will be eating a lot of dust while you're there. No wifi, no cable. I do realize not all this matters to everyone, but it does matter to many so I thought I'd share. These are objective facts.

Just FYI. This may have been a better place once upon a time. It seems to have lost something important along the way.

I shared this review a couple of weeks ago and removed it when the campground owners attacked family members of mine they knew and demanded I take the review down. Shortly thereafter, they canceled all our reservations. Then just mine. Review simply had to go back up to warn others of the kind of people who are running this place.

I have been tempted to leave all this alone. Problem is that businesses offer a customer service. That makes you open to customer feedback. Good, bad, indifferent. These are opinions. Your reaction has been unprofessional and offensive. I have not been contacted by you. My friends have. My family has. Poor form and shame on you.

Customers can and should comment on your services and their experiences at your facilities. That is the specific purpose of reviews. That's the free market system. Sometimes these experiences won't be wonderful because things happen. You had an opportunity to rise to the occasion and handle some small problems professionally and courteously. I would have left a fair, honest, and decent review about your decency. You chose to be be quite the opposite.

This one star review is for the attitude and lack of professionalism and decency of the campground owners/operators.campground itself could rise to a 3 star under different ownership.

Find a better spot. There are plenty who have more to offer and won't treat you like garbage.

So, after reading your reply, it has become even more obvious that you just don't care about your patrons. I was kind. I was patient. I was professional. Covid doesn't matter to you? Copy that. Message received. And I have delivered it to everyone that matters to me. I know that dollars matter more to you than customer service. That has never been in dispute. You won that debate from jump street. And there are a couple things for kids to do, they'll figure out how to entertain themselves with a cardboard box.hello christmas morning. It's just that some other campgrounds actually have things for kids to do. Again, not attacking, even though you're continuing to act like I have attacked you for being a mediocre-at-best-campground. Don't shy from what you are. Own it and make the best of it. Stop making me the bad guy for an honest review and fix what you can. It's embarrassing.

Just please advertise your shortcomings and allow people to cancel for COVID! Too much to ask? I don't think so. Neither does most of the world. Now stop being ridiculous and just do the right thing. Enough is enough. Keep spouting all the garbage you'd like, it doesn't change the facts. Lie all you'd like. Facts are facts.

@John Wilson, sorry you couldn’t entertain yourself. The pool is scheduled to open soon, it wouldn’t have been open this week anyway because it’s not Memorial Day yet. Maybe you could jump into Rocky Gap, just a short drive down the road, to cool your self off. Our kids were perfectly entertained this weekend because they know how to play outside, ride bikes, invent games, fish, hike, etc. A cancellation policy is in place for a purpose, it doesn’t matter the reason behind it. If you and your friends don’t come back we will all be better off

Mark, Lisa, and kids have been great hosts. Many upgrades to include bath houses and the pool will be fabulous when finished. Park has never looked better and a pleasant place to visit with quiet hours and lots of activities/special events on the weekends. If you are a person who can follow rules, you’ll have a great time. If you need someone to babysit/entertain you or you can’t follow rules then this might not be the place for you and everyone would be happier if you moved along. It’s a campground, not Disney.

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Hidden Springs Campground. The owners are great! The campground is well maintained. We met people we will never forget!

We really enjoy this campground. The bathrooms are very clean, the showers are nice and the sites are well maintained. We plan on returning.

Nice campground. Very accommodating host readily agreed to wait for us to arrive after closing and purposely gave us nice pull thru spaced away from neighboring rigs. Glad we found this place; will return when traveling this route.

Very nice, well maintained campground. Beautiful bath house. The kids enjoyed the pool and playground. A private campground that welcomes short term stops along with their seasonal campers while making all feel welcome. Will definitely return when in the area. Loved it here, great staff/owners, level sites, and awesome water pressure. From the moment we pulled in we were treated like we had been coming there for years and were old friends. As a veteran and a minority I am always weary of where I’m staying, well here that was never an issue, from the warm welcome, the joking like your old friends with the staff and all of the other campers were great as well. This campground sits back in a beautiful, quite spot, and is on well kept grounds, bathhouse is something you would find in a high end resort only you don’t have the high end resort cost. I highly recommend you check this site out, and make sure you read the rules, they like that LOL. Awesome place and can’t wait to book there again.

Leaving the city so late, then taking the backwoods "horror movie" route in a RV was not a good idea.

Really gotta say. The function we had there was great. This location and there pavillions are awesome.

Had a wonderful time over the weekend camping with the family. Kid, dog, music and all around family friendly.

We really loved this place. Nice and quite. Fairly wooded with enough to do for entertainment. Really close to Rocky Gap for other activities as well. Will be back for sure.

Very clean and owner is there to help you at anytime you need wood or propane or just a question or two.

This was our first time here, we enjoyed our stay. I will say you have the nicest bathrooms that we have ever seen at a campground. Showers are very spacious, well designed and clean.
The dump station a little challenging since its on the opposite side of camper release and with the narrow roads if another camper coming, backing up is a nightmare.
We would come back.

Great campgrounds staff goes out of way to make that you have what you need. Firewood was delivered to our site and also picked up my propane tanks to refill and delivered back to site because I was on oxygen. Great site Great people
