I live near by. They were just about to close when I called to buy a pie as consolation for my family not being able to come for Christmas. They have terrific baked goods and a nice selection of everything else.

Beautiful farm with Fall fun for the family. This is one of the premier orchards in Chester County. With hayrides, pick your own fruits, and kids activities there’s enough to keep everyone busy for a few hours. During the fall the pumpkins break out and Apple Cider and donuts are the main attraction. The only thing I really disliked was the amount of bees in the bench area, and I remember this being an issue last year as well. My suggestion would be some bee traps to make it easier to sit and eat without worrying about getting stung.

Love going here to pick out pumpkins, go apple picking and for picking up some apple cider donuts (which are amazing!). I always pick up extra donuts so I can make some apple cider donut bread pudding! Everyone here is so nice and helpful. This place is always alive with locals coming to enjoy the festivities. I know they have fruit pickings and produce year round but something about this place in autumn just speaks to me. Thanks for all your hard work!

So crowded! Don't think I'd ever go again. Seems like a good place for families with small children.

Less crowded than some of the other big pick your own places in the surrounding Philly area. Great selection, fun for everyone!

I had a great first experience apple picking (so many varieties!) followed by a fresh, tasty apple cider donut snack. This place is fun for adults, but would be even better for a kid. There are several playgrounds, goats and chickens to see, a tiny train ride, and more.

Great place to spend the day with kids and family. The activities continue to get better year over year! Would like to see a reserved pumpkin decorating station where one price covers everything someone needs to walk away with a decorated pumpkin.

They have the best donuts around, hands down. Also specialty breads and old fashioned candies and a country atmosphere that makes you glad you came.

Picking apples is such a great activity! There are usually nine different apples in season. Bring some tall friends if you want the best apples

Aside from great apples, the baked goods are always a treat; especially pies and apple cider donuts. A solid assortment of farm fresh produce and milk as well in the market. Weekend specials featuring craft beers and cooked meats etc, best to check online for details and specials.

I have been coming to Highland Orchards for years primarily for their freshly fried Apple Cider Donuts (nobody lights a candle next to these donuts). Since the pandemic rolled around, I've noticed their quality, attention to detail and customer service absolutely plummet but after being let down a couple of times I decided to give them one final try. This time with my family visiting from out of state.

We ordered (2) dozen Apple Cider Donuts with no sugar. There were none pre-fried + ready to go, so they offered to fry us a new batch. It had always been customary for us to ask for a fresh new batch to be fried as long as we were okay with the wait time associated (this was our preference as the donuts coming out fresh were the ABSOLUTE BEST).

We had already been waiting for a solid 10 minutes when they suddenly found a batch of ready to go sugar-free donuts. We notified the staff that we were willing to wait for the fresh batch they had already started. We were immediately met with disapproving looks and mumbled banter. Mind you, the staff is almost entirely underage and lacks the customer service this farm market really needs.

As we waited now 15 minutes, the employee that initially told me she would willingly fry a new batch now made it fully aware that she had a lunch break she needed to take and could not finish my batch. I kindly asked her, "out of the other 10 employees here, is there someone else who can finish frying the batch for you? " She looked super annoyed with my question and proceeded to call another staff member whom was sitting behind the counter twiddling thumbs. After being asked to partake in "his job" he proceeded to complete the batch. But let me make it very clear that during the ENTIRE TIME he finished the batch he complained knowing we were standing just a few feet away.

After waiting for now 20 minutes, listening to the nonsense coming out of this employees mouth - I just about had it. He finally handed me my batch of sugar free donuts and I let him know that, "I could hear every single word come out of his mouth. The way he and the other employees handled their jobs was extremely unprofessional and that I would NEVER AGAIN return to this market to provide my local support of their business".

Throughout this entire encounter, not one ADULT took charge or supervised the situation. Customer service here is DEAD and it is unfortunate. It was once one of the characteristics that brought people to Highland Orchards. It's unfortunate, but they have permanently lost our families business.

Very fun to visit in the fall. Fresh local produce, pick your own in season. Weekends are the time go with children for events such as a petting zoo and hay rides. Cafe for a bite to eat and warm drinks.

It was a little busy, but the staff were very efficient. Lines moved quickly.

The orchards were nice and had descriptions of the type of apples at the drop off/pick up points. My 18 month old son had a great time!

Bakery is generally good, some condiments and jellies are disappointing. Fruits and veggies do not always seem to be the pick of the crop.
Kids like upick and the play area.

Highland is one of the best places to go and hang out as a family on summer and fall weekends. BBQ, food trucks, beer and wine trucks, the farm market, and sweet animals all set the stage for a great atmosphere. Very family friendly with lots to do for the tinies, music, coffee, everything you need. Pick your own is so much fun-we went strawberry picking in the early summer with our one year old and she had so much fun playing in the dirt and eating strawberries while dressed as a strawberry.

Went on a Saturday in October for apple picking. Very well organized, with staff directing parking, frequent shuttles to the orchards, and clear signs with which apples were ready to pick. Apples were plentiful and delicious. The trees are small, which makes for easier fruit picking, especially with children. There were also a lot of family friendly activities, including goats that you could feed and face painting. They also have a market with fresh apple cider donuts and apple cider, which were both really good. Would highly recommend coming here for apple picking in the fall!
