Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center reviews
12My dad has spent significant time here both as a rehab patient and now long term care. The staff and care have been great.
Very polite and helpful staff. I was visiting as a veterans volunteer and needed some guidance finding my way around. Your staff pointed me in the right direction.
Staff was helpful, place was clean and tidy.residents were up and dressed and out of there rooms
Very nice facility. I was able to check in and see my mother right after she was admitted. The floor nurse was very professional and helpful!
I visited my brother in law and the place was welcoming, and Nevin said he is treated well. Nevin lost his leg in Vietnam and has suffered a lot from battle, I am glad that they are treating him as he deserves. He will come home shortly after months of rehabilitation. Thank you for caring for him!
All of my Grandmothers caregivers were so friendly and responsive. We had a private room to visit with her as well. Her room was clean and the bed was made. All in all a nice visit!
My grandmother had items stolen on a regular basis. She constantly was asking us to buy the same cosmetics items because they kept “disappearing”. (Her and her roommate were both bedridden). On the day she died-within hours items were missing out of her room. No one visited the other roommate, only staff were there. There were sentimental and valued items the family wanted. Of course there is always good staffs-but whoever does this overshadows them
Hillview was clean, well staffed, staff were pleasant/helpful, and is a nice place to visit.
I was very happy with The Guardian Health care facility! They are apparently under new management, it’s a work in progress but it’s definitely headed in the right direction. For the most part the staff was competent, compassionate and understanding. The flexibility with visitors and times was fantastic. I felt comfortable when I wasn’t there with my mother which was never the case prior to this. She made a miraculous recovery during her stay there due to the therapy and nursing care she received. I felt like they had an almost open door policy in terms of approachability of the staff. I gave a 3 star rating because we were never offered the option of requesting an extension from the Insurance co.for issues she had, a bedsore that wasn’t healing and the fact that we had no real direction, the home nurse couldn’t visit us until 5 days after we came home and that in itself was something that in my opinion is worthy of requesting an extension of benefits. It caused a set back in treatment and recovery. That issue should have been resolved before my mother even left the facility. I believe that communication between the business manager and the nursing staff should have been more of a factor than how much we had to pay because our time was up, those are just a few of the issues that occurred upon discharge. I feel terrible that what would have been a five star review was marred by discharging a patient that was clearly not in the position to go home, to be left with no home care for 5 days. It was obviously a serious breakdown in communication between the medical team and the business part of it
It was and still is overwhelming.
Had it ended the way it began, this would have been an almost perfect review. I would never discourage anyone from having a loved one recover at this facility if going forward they could just implement a Policy of making sure the patient is ready and completely set up to be at home. Had it not been for this issue a minor complaint I would have had was the fact that there were no phones in the patient rooms. Minor shortcoming I know but not a lot of senior citizens don’t t have cell phones
My mother is there 6/21, like another review said staff is lazy, no phones in room can't see my mother for 14 days we've all be vaccinated and yet we can't see her.
They killed my gma a few yrs back she had bruising they couldn't explain thats why we got an attorney.
Please keep your loved ones as far away from this place as possible. My mom is only there for rehabilitation to get stronger and we can't see her EVEN WITH THIS NON SENSE COVID.
I'm so disgusted with this place. I can't wait till she gets out of there.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
My mom went to Hillview for rehab after being hospitalized for a fall. The staff was kind and caring. They helped her regain her strength and she was able to return to her home. Everyone was helpful, listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions.
