Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown

Went to experience PNC Park and our room was perfect, location & proximity to the Park was walkable and safe. Would definitely stay here again

Great hotel. Clean and very nice rooms and common areas. Lots of undesirable activity right outside though, a little sketchy. Paid $35/night to park in deck next door, a bit high imo. Did not use restaurant, but appeared nice. Close walk to activities and PPG arena.

Great downtown location. Right next to Market Square and a short walk to PNC Park. Easy access parking garage. Wonderful atmosphere.

Stay here while I was in Pittsburgh on business for the Pratt Family. Brought them a stage so they can have their reggae rock relief concert. Love the hotel, all employees were absolutely fabulous, and the Pratt Family is second and none

If I could give a zero I would.

We were in town to attend the Pirates game on a 95 degree day. When my family and I returned to our room at 11pm to get showers we discovered the knob to turn the water on was broken. Needless to say we couldn't get showers. When I called the front desk they told me no one in maintenance was available and that the manager wasn't in until the next morning. The hotel was fully booked so we were forced to remain in the room with a shower that had no water. When I went to the desk that morning I was told the manager wasn't in until 2p. I called the front desk mid-late afternoon and now they are telling me the manager is not in until Monday. This is insane that the story just keeps changing. As you can imagine this is very frustrating as I paid for a service that my family and I were unable to use. The best part about it is now I have been charged full price after being told I would receive compensation.

On top of that I pre-paid for breakfast as part of my reservation. When I checked in the front desk told me I had to just alert the restaurant on the next morning about my reservation. When we sat down for breakfast that following morning the waiter said to me the front desk should have given me vouchers. He went to the front desk and they told him we didn't have breakfast as part of our reservation. I had to give him my phone to prove to the front desk that we had breakfast paid for in advance. Very frustrating to jump through all the hurdles.

Needless to say it wasn't fun eating breakfast (while trying to get the pre-paid breakfast straightened out) and driving several hours home without a shower. Every single thing was a headache.

The only good thing is this hotel is about a 15 minute walk to PNC Park and right near Market Square if you want to get something to eat and drink.

Still waiting for a response from management.

The location of this hotel is perfect! It's located right in the center of things and within walking distance to restaurants and parks.
My room was on the 10th floor with easy access from the elevator and a nice view of the city.
The bathroom has been updated and was very clean. My only complaint is that they put the ac/heat unit under a window that has a bed pushed up against it. So the room was extremely hot even though the ac was set to 65.
I had to buy a fan in order to stay cool while in the room.

The front desk guy was awesome we had a great conversation asked me about my YouTube journey and why I decided to start traveling the world

The rooms were fantastic and the windows/view were great as well. Only problem was the service. We came during an event and there was no parking for hotel guests, leaving us to walk almost 2 blocks away and walk back and forth through our trip.

Excellent location, fresh modern rooms and a parking lot next door. Excellent choice for staying in Pittsburgh!

Room was fine, location was great. However, if you have Hilton Honors elite status (gold or diamond) don't expect the usual (and stated) benefits. All you get is bottled water, no free breakfast or meal/drink credit. I've spent well over 20 nights in Pittsburgh this year at other hotels and thought I'd try this one. Don't think I'll book here again.

The rooms were clean. But sadly they did not know what they were doing. Seemed the manager had changed recently or something like that. The front desk people (two separate) did not know most of the answers. For example, we asked for coons for laundry and the front desk person seemed to not even know if they have it somewhere or not. Or we asked for the restaurant and it seemed that another front person was trying to open the door to the restaurant but couldnt. He was very surprised. He told us breakfast is from 7-11 but it was 7-10! Later we found out restaurant was closed at the time due to gap between lunch and breakfast. Anyway, not the best experience!

Very poor customer service. Charged my card error, fixed it after I complained. Then went and did it again several days later. Incompetent staff and management.

Booked a corner room with a view months in advance. I show up, front desk says there are none. Forced to stay in a smaller, lower level room with views of a wall. Contacted management, no response. Would not change my rate! Avoid at all costs.

Stayed to see phish and took the rally bus to the shows at star lake. Great location and walking distance to pizza at 1 am. Coffee steps away and quiet clean room. Thank you! Only thing I would recommend is fixing the handlebars on the peloton on the bike in fitness center. Pretty loose.

Great location, comfy beds. Pillows flattened out to folded wash cloth flat.that was off putting. But they were nice enough to give us extra pillows. Cannot beat the location!
