Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue reviews
16Our company hosted an event at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue in July, 2023. The service and value were outstanding. We'd highly recommend as an alternative to Center City programs.
Terrible representation of the brand here. A thorough lack of hospitality on multiple occasions. With how many hotels are in the area this one should just be closed down. I’d say 50% of the people don’t deserve their jobs. Especially the older white broad who’s a “manager”. She should do more to manage her mouth and not talk over me when I’m talking
My church was there to celebrate our Pastor's 15 Anniversary. Randy was EXCELLENT. The guest reported that the food was great. In the beginning the air wasn't on fully HOWEVER the staff go it working properly. We had 1 bad server but outside of that, this is the place where you would want to have a Gala. Reasonable prices and very nice atmosphere to have photos.
Clean fresh environment, with the best bartender anywhere, Cheeks! The customer service is unmatched. Valet was gret.
Rooms r tiny & way too expensive. No microwave in room. Not enough places to hang towels. No shower door in bathroom so water leaks all over floor
Solid 3-star hotel. Convenient for us visiting family in area but a ways from Center City.
Ok for an Hilton parking a little far, building was ok, went for an event. A regular Hilton experience
Shower handle was moldy coffee maker was filthy fridge did not get cold and a staff member walked in our room at between 8 and 9am while we were sleeping this is unacceptable! Checkout wasn’t untill 11am I don’t know if they was coming to steal or not but I will never return to this place
Front staff was rude and not helpful during check in. Disappointed to see this hotel treat Diamond members this way.
I'm a diamond member and I would highly suggest staying elsewhere. Service is subpar, no parking, poor desk staff, just a bad experience. I stay at Hilton exclusively and I know this one does not meet the standard. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a real experience at the Logan Hotel or Hilton pennslanding.
Very comfortable and well run Hilton property. The manager is the best! (Katherine) I have been staying at this location for years and I always feel so welcomed with each visit.
I like to unwind with an hour or so of cable news before bed. TV did not work. Would not turn on. Notified desk. 2 hours later, was woken up by an employee offering to come up to the room to troubleshoot. Very unacceptable. Also, while checking in, the desk person said breakfast and coffee at 6am tomorrow. The next morning there was no coffee or any breakfast. The restaurant was devoid of employees. Totally unacceptable for a $300/night hotel. Even the cheapest $80 night hotel has at least free coffee, if not free breakfast. They charged some amount to get into an open unguarded parking lot about 1,500 yards from the hotel entrance. Then, upon leaving, 3 of 4 parking kiosks were inoperable, which delayed our exit. I politely addressed these issues with the desk clerk the next morning. All she said was, "sorry you didn't enjoy your stay". Thats it. No explanation, no recourse, nothing.
EDIT: called the number given in the "response from owner" - person who answered said, "my manager won't be here until tomorrow, let me take your name". Clearly,
"we look forward to hearing from you" isn't true
The hotel is great but the restaurant had really bad service the old man is very rude made fun of a old guy gif what he was wearing talked about people might not go back to hotel because of this
Came here on a business trip. Rooms were clean. I had wifi connectivity issues sometimes. The hotel restaurant was a little lacking in terms of entree selection for dinner and service wasn’t great.
! BEWARE! Valet stole a $200 radio out of my car. Parking here is atrocious and the valet is even worse.
The reason for giving it four stars is because I never made it upstairs. My whole time was spent in the banquet room, for my aunt's 80th birthday party. The ballroom was beautiful in the service was great. The entire family had a wonderful time. I WOULD DEFINITELY THINK ABOUT HOLDING SOME OF MY EVENTS
