Got my 1975 and would go back again if I can save up for a 1973 or 1972

I’m a first time classic Corvette buyer & contacted Hobby Corvettes regarding a 1968 Corvette convertible. My initial emails were responded to very quickly. I inquired if I could pay to have the car transported to have it checked out. Unprofessionally I was told this is a stupid request to have a car shipped to be checked out & search elsewhere. They actually posted it to their Instagram account. Well, the idea was NOT mine. 3 companies I have contacted permitted this - buyer pays for the transportation, one as far away as Ohio. Hobby Corvettes didn’t suggest anything as an alternative to address my concern. I took their advice & took my business elsewhere-3 weeks later I purchased a nicer car, 68 convertible 2 tops, NCRS Winner, checking all the boxes for slightly more money & more importantly- peace of mind! They boast that they sell 60-100 cars / year, but not to me! Also there are reviews of cars arriving not working as described, where buyer is referred to trucking company as if that is the cause of gauges not working.
You heard the expression - “you get what you pay for “ - I like to say “you get what you DON’T pay for! This applies here. I want to thank them for their rudeness to steer me in a direction that allowed me to find a nicer car! They spend a lot of time fighting bad reviews, maybe they should work on customer service instead of putting out fires!

I haven’t had the opportunity to purchase from Hobby Car Corvettes but they have been so helpful in guiding me in the process of getting our 73 back on the road.

I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING AGAIN FROM HOBBY CAR CORVETTE! Do not be fooled by glamorous ads or selective positive reviews from this dealer. I purchased a vehicle
from them and initially Mr. RJ may seem polite but he gave me little to no information on the condition of the corvette. He only stated "it's needs restoration". From the pics posted I could fathom
that much but as the owner of the vehicle please help customers make an informed decision. Yes.sight unseen is not a good idea but at some point in America we have to get
back to trusting people. If not what is the purpose of the 'Support Small Business platform? These guys were very unhelpful only when it pertained to them receiving your payment.
They referred me to the shipper that is linked to their website but this company too is very unhelpful. Eventually the car sat for almost a month with no assistance from anyone.
I literally had the shipper tell me to go with another firm. I was so baffled like why cannot you guys ship my vehicle? Money! They are greedy and un-supporting is why.
Don't be a victim.just trust what i'm saying here.
I am a decorated soldier at Ft, Bragg (yes RJ remember me?) and this is how you treat even your soldiers that are fighting and serving just so you can relax and own a shady business?
Fast forward.the corvette arrived at Ft, Bragg (Home of the US Airborne and Special Ops) with a shredded and flat front tire. When I asked Hobby car why was the vehicle shipped
with a shredded and flat tire the response was " tire went flat waiting on the transport driver to show up". Really? How does a car go from an inflated tire in your advertising pic
to a shredded and deflated one just prior to shipping? My next question was " Why did not anyone take proactive/reactive measures and replace the tire even with the spare prior
to shipping? " The response I received from Hobby Car was " I need to be lucky that they even waited around for the driver to show up ". Oh so this is how your treat your
customers? Is it? Obviously so. And yet here I am on Ft. Bragg the largest military base in the world conducting covert operations around the clock just to protect the freedoms
of Americans so slime balls like Hobby Car can keep ripping people off. Please buy a used Hyundai before buying ANYTHING from this despicable, sorry, take your money and be done
with you dealership.
One final note-I would never post anything concerning anyone that was not factually true that I could not back up with evidence. AVOID this dealer!

Awesome experience! RJ is great. He answered every question I had, and made the entire transaction super easy from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Corvette.
