Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh - Monroeville, an IHG Hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room we had was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had great lighting, spacious shower with great water pressure and hot water. The chase lounge by the window was a comfortable area to lounge and watch baseball and relaxing. The bed was really comfortable and plenty of pillows. There is a single cup keurig, dorm size refrigerator and a small microwave in the standard room. A good amount of storage space if staying more than one night. Close to many resturants. Very well maintained.

Clean rooms, decent breakfast. Still not doing daily housekeeping but that's ok. Pool was nice, unfortunately there is no hot tub

Awesome weekend stay with my kids! Very spacious and clean lobby upon entering the hotel. We were greeted by two employees at the front desk with a warm friendly welcome. Check-in was quick and easy. We were told that breakfast ends at 10am on the weekends before we headed up to room on the 4th floor. The associate also told me that if we needed anything not to hesitate and just ask. Elevators were quick and clean. Once we got to our room and opened the door we were very impressed. The room temperature was perfect, the room was clean, and the carpet floor was beyond clean. The bathroom was spacious and had everything from towels to shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hairdryer was even present! The beds were extremely comfortable with both soft and firm pillows provided. The tv was a large flat screen mounted to the wall which could be pulled out and turned right or left for optimum viewing angles. There was a nice size closet, a desk, a fridge, and an iron. This hotel is our go to when we stay in the Pittsburgh area!

The hotel is clean, the staff was very friendly and professional. This was my father and I second time staying at this hotel and it was as great as last year. The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good as well. I enjoyed going to the pool. This is a good hotel to book in.

I like staying but, you really need to get back to servicing rooms everyday, this is getting ridiculous. So, this is why you are getting 3 stars. When you enter the building from the street, it's actually the 2nd level, which is the lobby. Breakfast is served in the morning, please see posted signs. There is plenty of parking spots. The bathrooms on the 2nd level/lobby were clean. To the right of the front desk, you can purchase drinks and snacks.

Clean rooms and very friendly staff especially Rick was very welcoming! Will surely visit again for my next trip.

Nice stay, however breakfast bar was quite depleted at 8: 30am with no sign it was going to be replenished.

Quality service, clean rooms, very modern and updated. Only disappointment was no cinnamon rolls for breakfast, but the cook tried his best to substitute with rock hard funnel cake.lol. Nikki was great and we will be back.

Only my first night but room is amazing. Front desk staff is friendly. Everything in room seemed clean and worked. Nice blackout shades. All around A+

The one gentleman was nice. But the manager was a b****. I'll never go back to the one in Monroeville.

Very clean very nice room always book thru Priceline app to get the best deals I payed $97 for one night. The pool was nice and open till 11 pm the kids had a blast once again. This is a very nice area for travelers from out of town looking for the Pittsburgh experience but not the huge hustle and bustle of being directly in the city.

Staff is very helpful and very friendly after being there as long as were I'm gonna miss them

My family and I resided at the hotel for 73 days due to a house fire. We can not speak highly enough for the staff. Great people.

Very friendly staff very quick check-in nice spacious rooms free parking with complimentary take away breakfast to be taken to rooms as dine in was closed due to pandemic and social distance was observed well. Over all deserve five stars for their service

I’ve been staying here weekly since Feb. The manager to this hotel only cares about the dollar! Your face, my face, is no different from a dog long as you have cash in hand. No cash his customer service and professionalism are non existent he doesn’t care how frequently you invest.

Friday April 30 I had an emergency and I left the building at 9a. My grandma was hospitalized and I had to rush there right after I dropped my kids off to daycare. When I got there she was on life support. I’m her power of attorney they wanted to know if they should pull the plug. I had to stay until my mom got there and I was 45 mins away from the hotel.

Needless to say I got back to the hotel late so I was completely unprepared and all my stuff was still in the room. The hotel was sold out so I became a number and it became important for me to get out so they could clean and someone else could come in.

I have 3 kids so I had a lot of stuff to pack and I usually tidy up the room before I leave. The staff was rushing me so I didn’t have time to tidy up. There was trash on the tables, the bathroom sink was clogged because I washed off some plates. I was going to grab the food out the sink so it could drain but they sent another staff member to move me along telling me they’re charging me another night or calling the police.

When I’m finally all packed up and moving along I’m loading up my car out front.

Remember I’ve been coming here almost weekly for 3 months now. No curtesy. Plus I’m A premium member! This is rude treatment. AND ALL MY STAYS I NEVER LEFT MORE THAN UNMADE BEDS! Anybody with kids knows that’s hard! As they’re rushing me no one offers to help carry anything so can we be patient?
Anyway I’m at my car loading up my stuff and the manager approaches me and makes up reasons why I can’t come back when his only real issue is that I’m not Checkin out at check out time.

He complains there’s stains on the bedsheets. It was one small stain with WATER BASE CRAYOLA MARKER that comes out!

He then says I was cooking in my room and that’s not allowed. It was an electric skillet, I had it all week nobody mentioned it until I’m late checking out. I haven’t seen that rule. I didn’t burn anything so there shouldn’t be an issue.

As I mentioned the bathroom sink was clogged. If I wasn’t threatened I would have unstopped the clogged it wasn’t anything down the drain.
Anyway there was no damage to the room, nothing that cost money. Yet he was complaining and told me I can’t come back.
This was the first and only time this happened! All the times I’ve come here we only leave unmaid beds.

His housekeeping staff does half jobs and I never complain! I think he was mad they couldn’t put the used linen back on the beds like they like to do!
Upon arrival Sunday OUR BED SHEETS HAD STAINS ON THEM BEFORE WE GOT THERE! But I didn’t complain!
The bathroom had a condom on the floor, I didn’t complain.
There were black spots on my pillow I didn’t complain just switched out the pillow I only sleep on one.
I requested house keeping Tuesday and they never came! I didn’t complain
I love the staff here so I keep complaints to a minimum. But the housekeeping isn’t thorough so I think the sink being clogged was “extra work” and throwing away stuff in the fridge was extra. 3 weeks ago there was food in the microwave they left.
I didn’t have time to empty the fridge so them.already grieving, then The professionalism was trrrible and it was really clear that it was only about money and that’s a disgusting way to treat a guest grieving or not. He kept emphasizing they were sold out, it was 3: 30/4 ALL YOUR DAMN GUESTS FOR EVERY ROOM WERENT ALL ALREADY CHECKED IN LIAR
He even lied saying 2 staff members quit because the “room was so bad”! The room wasn’t dreadful and it cost NO money to tidy it up! His 1 housekeeper was smoking weed on the job! I doubt anybody quit. 1 housekeeper waiting on me to leave the room.

The room was great for our family. The room climate control was easy to control and kept it very comfortable. We had a good amount of space and it was very updated. The bathroom was nice, with plenty of space. The bathroom door was on a rail that slid shut, but didn't latch or lock shut, which was a little irritating The staff was very helpful. The only disappointment was that the pool was closed, and hot breakfast was a to go bag. The to go bag was pretty decent though. Overall a good experience, I would recommend them and would book there again if we go back to the area.

Very clean. Virus safe protocol in place for your protection. Beds are great with choice of soft or firm pillows. Looking forward to staying their again in the fall.
