I am keen on details, and the details make or break a place. Lights should all be on in the room on arrival or check-in, it makes the place inviting. Dark rooms with the stereotypical "where are all the lightswitches cause every light is on a different circuit" is annoying, but is a common at the Holiday Inn chains.

Some weird bug was crawling on me, table wheels held together with painters tape (it fell off when I shifted a table), rusting vents in bathroom, rusting screws for shower shelves, broken air vents, air filters not completely installed, black out (ish) shade not curtains, some sort of stains on sheets (coffee or tea maybe?).

Had to go down 6 steps to take the elevator up, which is bizarre. Means only part of the building is handicap accessible from lobby.

It looked clean ish first glance and was considering 4 stars.

As I'm currently staying here, I'll rate food in the morning and any other issues. If there is additional issues, I'll note them in an update.

I'll talk to management in the morning as well.

Update:
Front desk is going to "add some points" to my account. He didnt state how much after showing him photos etc.

Breakfast: Eggs/Cheesy Eggs, Hashbrown cubes, sausage, bacon, coffee/drink, and a plastic wrapped pastry. It is seemingly all you can eat if you're on the glutten side of things, but the lack of variety, pancakes, waffles, etc.made it very simple and cookie cutter without any fruit at all.

Key NOTE: The breakfast seems to not be a part of the room and tried to up-charge me, but they gave it to me for free due to plat diamond membership (?). Sold through phone and at the front desk as $10 per person on arrival is actually cheaper at a cost of 8.99 in the bistro, which is just added to your room. Unless the waitress misspoke and it IS $10 and i would then complain. I thought it fascinating that the last minute charge was cheaper than the last minute add on. So my take away is: Refuse the up-charge and IF you need it and it isn't with your reservation, you can just add pay for cheaper ad hoc. Granted the front door is also 10 meters from a Royal Farms, so the 5 second walk also affords you better quality.

Also the bistro while a meh breakfast at best, held me over to the next meal. For free or under 10 isnt terrible. Though, i think it is funny that on the voucher it says "Gratuity is included". Which is weird because I have never tipped for self serve buffet. Felt that slip was a bit of a reach. If the staff or management feels the need to put that on a voucher; their waitress should make more via tips, maybe they should just increase the rates and pay them better. They bring drinks which they keep publicly available, and collect vouchers. I think that leaving 30% tip on assumingely $10 pp, $0.30 is more of an insult than a tip.

Great place to stay while we visited family over the holiday. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good. We were there almost 3 days but housekeeping staff never asked if we needed fresh towels and they were in the hallway one room down. That was the only issue. We would definitely stay there again.

Diane and her team at the Holiday Inn Kulpsville provided an outstanding event, service, and support for my wife’s 50TH birthday celebration. The ambiance walking into the lobby is very inviting. Words cannot paint the picture of the exceptional bar service, food, and event space set up; this can only be experienced! I vetted numerous establishments in the general area of Philadelphia, King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, and Kulpsville/lansdale and not only was Diane responsive the cost to host an event was very cost efficient!

Wonderful, modern hotel, from the cleanliness all the way to the staff, especially Christine at the front desk. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel!

Over priced, low quality, poor customer service. Elevator was slow as well as not up to code. The bathroom door handle kept falling off. The coffee was mediocre and half the time not available in the morning, the buffet was subpar and highly overpriced. Most of all, I left my jacket there, (realized at 6pm of my mistake and called straightaway). I went to retrieve my jacket and no one wanted to help me, as it wasn’t their problem. Tyler the front desk clerk told me he would look for the jacket and call me. An hour later I called because I was on my way to the hotel and he told me he never went to look for it and only trusted what housekeeping put in their report. I had to file a police report as I was leaving town that night. The next day after 4pm my jacket magically reappeared and they forced me to pay for it to be shipped to me because of my negligence: totally disregarding their own negligence and unconcern with my need to find my jacket as I was traveling back to WI in subzero temperatures. I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Clean comfortable rooms and beds. It was in the process of being renovated and the lobby was not good enough for a group gathering.

We had our reception at Holiday Inn in Lansdale PA. It was such a smooth and stress free experience, which I valued the most. Staff was amazing, pleasant, and accommodating. Food was great, venue was nice and clean. We worked with Diane. She is such a darling to work with. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Where’s the breakfast? All trays empty and all I could see was two guys with an orange juice each. God knows where they found that juice. Bathroom has a stand in tub, doors seems like old painted metal doors, rooms too big for just a king size. No decent TV channels and room key stops working randomly

No one at customer check in desk. Had to walk thru and find an attendant to get my reservation and keys. Poor attitude from clerk. Poor lobby (under reconstruction). Rooms ok and newly renovated. Poor lighting in rooms. No fan in the bathroom, only one towel hook for drying. Overall VERY disappointed in a Holiday Inn facility.
Ownership should be replaced
Room facing the turnpike so nothing but vehicle traffic noise all night long.
Poor AC control and output

We were camping at the Philadelphia Folk Festival with our young kids and this hotel was our insurance policy. The front desk was under construction and some facets of the hotel were a bit dated. With that being said it was clean and served its purpose.

Location convenient, right next to major highway, gas station and wawa. Needed a room just for the night, walked in but there was no one at the front desk. Figured they'd be along shortly but waited and waited and waited... The computer wasnt even locked, it was as if they'd just disappeared. Thank goodness I wasnt someone with ill intentions and was just trying to get a room but unfortunately couldnt even do that. I gave up eventually after about 20 minutes and went to the courtyard marriot across the street where I was greeted by a very helpful, friendly receptionist who got me a room there instead. Recommend that management work on making sure staff are available because its causing them to lose business and money

Sleeping on top of the pa, turnpike is a bad idea. I have stayed on the other side of the hotel and it was fine.check your room location!

Understand that the place is under renovation, but the carpet in my room turn the bottom of my feet black. Staff was friendly.

*Is currently under construction/remodel, but still had a nice stay! Overall the construction didnt affect our stay. Rooms were nice- great bed and nice pillows! Nick at the front desk was great! Very nice, pleasant and patient. The location was pretty nice-close enough to the highway, gas stations and restaurants too. Only real complaint was the dim lighting of some parking areas, other than that it was good.
