Holland Lawnmower reviews
4I took my gas string trimmer in it took 3 weeks for an estimate finally I went back after 2 weeks and told them to cancel the said they had started and had taken the carburetor apart and had order the part and it would be in next week. They were supposed to call me with an estimate. They never did. I toke my trimmer and went home but the kept the $25.00 estimate. Plus the charge a 4% surcharge for credit card. Be CAUTIOUS if you take anything to them.
Edit: Look at the reply, and you'll see what I mean by having to interact with the staff, actually, read all their replies. Same offensive, entitled attitude. Which is odd for such a dilapidated place of business.
The scratches were not there. I never attempted tonsharpen these, as my wife would kill me.
This was the first time I've ever had them sharpened after purchasing new.
I added 2 more pics of 2 separate knives from the set. Will add more if they reply again. All butchered.
Avoid this place
I said "Oh, I'll keep it local and take my knives here"
Nope
Don't take your knives for sharpening here. They completely mangled my kitchen knives.
The picture attached was the best looking one of the group.
And they were somewhat miserable to deal with, so I didn't even bother complaining about it.
Lesson learned. Send your knives out online to a service and avoid this place.
I have a 20 year old Craftsman tractor which I use for lawn mowing, snow plowing and towing trailer loads of dirt, gravel wood around. Granted its used and abused. After years of use I was ready to trade it in for a new one. For giggles I sent it to Holland. Its like a new tractor at a fraction of the cost. Vinny repaired it as if it was his own. Yes his dad has a real down to earth way about him (unfortunately not many left). Everyone at holland is honest and cares about the work they perform. Owning lawn equipment is like owning a dog, you need to be a responsible owner.
A lot of respect for the owner but at the end of the day it was 2 months of my quad sitting there. They recently lost 2 mechanics which is understandable, but the quad was dropped off 2 months before hand told that it would be a 3 week wait before they touched it and I called 3 weeks later and they told me they start working on in a week. I believed what he said then a month and a week go by just to be told we have to pick it up because they can’t work on it AFTER 2 MONTHS! Owner is very respectable just the biggest thing is called a month and a week before hand to be told it was gonna he worked on and a month later they want it picked up which it wasn’t moved or even touched same position and everything from tired were flat before dropping off and they couldn’t even change the front tires.
