Hollow Run Apartments

Wonderful little complex and apartments are nicely sized and priced accordingly. Complex was recently bought out by an actual leasing company (Westtover) and the changes have been so wonderful. Staff is friendly and the buildings are actually getting taken care of now. Updates to the units are always happening and the property itself is seeing many improvements over the last year. Quiet neighborhood and they seem to do a good job not renting to trouble makers.

Horrible lighting - Was dropping off something to a friend at night. If there were signs saying what units are in each if the buildings, I didn't see them. Numbers are at top of ea entrance. For the first couple bldgs, there r lights above the doors, making the numbers easily visible from the car and creating nice atmosphere. Llighting for the rest make it nearly impossible to read numbers. U must block light with your hand to see that numbers r even there & r still hard to read from your car. The bright white lights r either mounted wrong, pointing out instead of down, or someone bought the wrong lights! Potentially very bad situation if u need 911.

I'm about to move in to this complex in about a week. But let me just say I contacted over 30+ complexes and by far the best communication was Liz. She answered all my many questions and always answered the phone and emails super fast believe me I had many questions! She also stayed on the phone with my fiancé for about 30 minutes when he filled out his application and was super helpful! 11/10 for her!

This was my first apartment I moved into and I loved it. I loved the staff. Holly and Liz and Laura are awesome. Dave was a very good maintenance guy as well. Whenever I had an issue he came the day of and would even check up on the issue throughout the week to make sure things were okay. My only complaint would be sometimes the hallways would smell bad but I’m not sure if that is completely the leasing offices responsibility as people come and go and they don’t control that; maybe a weekly cleaning could be done in hallways to get rid of smell if not done already but it isn’t that big of an issue overall. I just really loved the staff and they were so helpful answering all of my questions all of the time. I loved the size of my apartment and the neighborhood. I’m low key when it comes To apartments so this was great for me. I loved how my friends and parents could visit me and there was no issue with parking. I’m gonna miss the staff very much and my apartment and I am hoping to lease with them in the future if I need to. I am very grateful for the support I had from the staff especially when I asked so many questions!

The entire facility smells like mold. Had to throw out clothes and furniture because of the mold smell that would not come out. Upstairs apartment leaked into the kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom wall had mold with something smelly growing out of the wall from leak upstairs. Downstairs in the laundry area mold was growing on the walls and looked like white fur growing out of black mold.
Found a few cockroaches under the kitchen sink and bathroom sink had to purchase traps. Had to move out due to mold and mildew stench. I do not recommend this apartment complex.

Nightmare. For your health and sanity move somewhere else. The best and only good thing about this place was the maintenance guy, and I feel bad that the company makes him do it all by himself.

Here are SOME of the highlights:

* Black mold in the bathroom to the point where when I FIRST TRIED to clean the shower the tiles fell off- revealing a WALL of black mold.
* A chipmunk got stuck in my wall and died there. When I called about a death smell- the woman from the office tried to ARGUE with me that the death smell was probably because “I need to do laundry or something” WOW. Classy broad.
* the toilet pipes from the apartment above me BURST and I had human feces leaking through the wall into my apartment.
* my coil stove literally EXPLODED while I was cooking, shooting white hot sparks everywhere. Could have been seriously injured.
* hot water heater burst & leaked all under the carpet bringing with it the black mold from the bathroom.
* apartment was near the electrical closet- during a storm the building took a lightning hit & it arched through my apartment destroying my Tv & shocking me in the living room. YES FOLKS I got struck by lightning INSIDE this lousy apartment due to archaic faulty not up to code wiring.
* baseboard heater started a fire- that was great fun
* water main exploded outside in the parking lot & nobody had water
* washers & dryers are coin op & costs $3.50 per load. There is NO HOT WATER for these fabulous amenities & they are constantly broken. Nobody will ever refund your money lost.

There’s a lot more but I thought I’d share just the best highlights of life at hollow run. Enjoy!

The apartments are nice.however I strongly suggest always having someone at home b/c they have a habit of entering the apartment when no one's home, and do not always have a valid reason for being in there. Each year your rent is increased, and if you ask Tracy if your rent is being increased she acts as if she does not know. I been here several years and every year my rent has increased. They are very quick about fixing issues you have in your apartment.

Lovely guiet Serena are just a few perks, l absolutely love it here. I hope to stay as long as I can. Professional staff, are quick to respond to any problems. Happy l am
