Hope & Coffee reviews
17They were super friendly. But so loud. Not a quite place to have a cup of coffee and read a book. The very lovely ladies there were basically yelling the whole time. Can't be upset at people's joy. I was paying through so it doesn't really affect me. But if you want a quiet coffee shop on a Saturday morning, this is not it. Good coffee tho
Met my family here before my parent’s burial and it was the perfect spot to connect over coffee and just be relaxed for the day ahead. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Driven past for years en route to The Mahoning Drive In and finally stopped. I've been missing out! Not only was the coffee delicious, the staff and atmosphere was so incredibly welcoming. The paintings for sale were fantastic as well. Looking forward to stopping here often during spring and summer. Will be back in two weeks for sure!
Beautiful atmosphere. It’s so cozy and welcoming. The food and bevs are great. The service is warm and courteous. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in the area again & shop for some art!
Go for the coffee, stay for the paintings!
What a truly welcoming and gorgeous coffee shop! Very spacious, very clean, and so nicely decorated. Above all though, is the service. The staff are so thoughtful and kind, and it really shows how much they enjoy their jobs. I went in to this place during a very hard time in my life when I had to give up coffee and caffiene and the girls there were able to make me an iced chamomile tea that I now love and look forward to. The people that frequent this place are also genuinely good and kind individuals, and my partner and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think it is such a beautiful thing to have this wonderful coffee shop here in Tamaqua, that not only makes great beverages and food, but advocates so strongly and compassionately for mental health and recovery. What a sense of community! We NEED a place like this! Thank you!
The coffee here is fantastic! Provided by March Chunk Coffee Co, if you enjoy fresh roasted, rich and flavorful, this is your place. But beyond the great coffee, the building itself is lovely. Remodeled and restored with original floors of incredible workmanship, this store has all the charm one would HOPE for from a coffeeshop. Go check it out for yourself.
I went here for some coffee after my college's coffee machine refused to work right. This was my first time here and the staff were very helpful in helping me find out what kind of coffee I wanted (I wanted to step out from regular plain coffee). The place is also very clean and cozy. Most importantly, the coffee was amazing and in my opinion pretty cheap
Nice, cozy coffee shop. Grab coffee and some food to go, or just grab a table and enjoy the atmosphere.
I visit Hope&Coffee Tamaqua twice to have the full experience. I love to try local business, overall I liked the place. The food is delicious for sure. Prices are reasonable, $5 for breakfast sandwich and $3 for a Med hot Coffee. The place is beautiful and plenty of places to sit. The only negative, was customer service from cashier. Not personable, when we walked in didn't get greeted. It was obvious we never been there before because we were looking around and took a bit to look at menu, the cashier just stood there looking at us without saying a word. No hi or bye. Same the next day, Cashier didn't greet me and got my order wrong. They have a rewards punching card and never was told about it. Overall I do recommend this place for the food! Delicious breakfast.
I love this place, I love their mission. Food is good, mom loved her muffin and my egg sandwich was good. Cookies are ok. Service is amazing! Ten stars to the owner and workers.
Lovely place good coffee nice people, unless mngmnt is stressing, you'll enjoy your time. Especially if it isn't busy.
This was a nice find during our stay in town. Ended up going two days in a row. We've been going to Dunkin during previous stays and this place just earned our return business over Dunkin. Will also happily recommend to peers that frequent tamaqua.
They make things to order so food can take over 5 minutes which is not a big issue. The food is worth the wait. Very good coffee (decaf) and Chai tea.
Bagel and lox was great and so was the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Good, fresh bagels used for the sandwich. Got both sandwiches two days in a row.
My pier support specialist Chris S.and I have coffee here weekly, it's delicious. The manager Dave and his staff create a great atmosphere for recovery and just to relax, I tried a Bacon egg and cheese everything bagel and it was also delicious and freshly made. I'm glad there's Hope & Coffee there's a metal coffee pot were we sit on the table as decor, I opened it up and there is a stone on the bottom, with hope printed on it and it makes my day. Every visit I check the pot because there's always hope. Thanks Guys.
I stopped in after randomly seeing their sign whilst in search of caffeine lol (I was en route to Starbucks actually) and I'm glad I did!
Lisa's latte with pumpkin pie instead of vanilla was really good, highly recommend! The customer service was top notch and the place is so cozy, yet has lots of seating!
I haven't tried the food yet but will next time. Stop in if you're nearby. You won't regret it
Beautiful place, roomy and cozy at the same time! Plenty of seating in small rooms throughout the house. Tasty drink. Friendly folks, too, even during a super busy time. They have an art gallery as well! I grabbed this cutie. Great way to support local business and artists.
A small coffee shop with incredible coffee and lattes. With supporting those struggling with addiction in the northern PA region, it's a coffee that can warm not only your stomach, but your soul too. The love music on Saturdays is a happy addition to their operation. Love it!
Go here, get coffee and food its great! What a nice place to have locally. The smoothies are amazing too try the peach you won't regret it.
