Hoss's Steak & Sea House, Hummelstown PA

Met by Nicole the manager who up front told us they were short on servers. She sat us, took our drink orders, also our meal order. Excellent salad bar, food was very good and our server who delivered our order checked on us regularly to make sure were were happy. Impressive, because at Hoss’s it is obvious that Nicole and her staff go the extra mile in tough times to ensure customer satisfaction.
Glad we went and will go again.

Ate her several times past 6 yrs. Prior to covid good food for fair prices. Post covid prices still good but food is eh. Most likely won't go back when in the area.

Nice place good service. Jordan was an excellent waiter. First time here from out of state. Enjoyable quiet restaurant.

Had a steak and baked potato, plus the salad bar. The is one of few places offering buffet in the Harrisburg/Hummelstown area that is American food. Every thing was hot and fresh. Started with soup and salad, finished with soft ice cream. Very good!

Great service, clean restaurant, salad bar $12 or add it to your sandwiches for $5. Dinner can include salad bar or without. Dinner entrée is not great tasting so stick to the salad bar. Kids meal $7.

The food was really good. We went at about 4 pm on a Wednesday and there were only about 10 other people there. I'm surprised more people weren't there. I hope they have more people in the evenings and on weekends because this is a really good restaurant.

Steaks were burnt on the outside and none of three ribeyes were cooked correctly. A sreak house should know how to cook a steak! Server was great but will never visit again.

Menus is out dated compared to most hoss's and minimum salad var. This is what the original host's are like. Update the menus and appearance in foyer and its a 5

The lettuce was soggy. The mushrooms were soft and almost sour. The wait staff spent the time sitting at a table with another customer talking. The salad bar attendant changed items with no gloves and their hands went into the food. This includes liquids like the nacho cheese. Not enjoyable at all.

So great to be able to eat out like we used to do. Clean, bright restaurant with great salad bar and wonderful burgers.

I told the waitress that I was going to get the salad bar with my steak and my daughter and I were going to share it. Because she wanted the salad bar and some steak just not a whole steak. She didn't say anything then comes over with the bill charging me for a salad bar plus my steak meal. Then told me I can't give her my salad bar. I'm paying for the food why can't I do what I want with it and plus it would have been nice to know when I ordered my food because I wouldn't have gotten a 12 oz steak. I will never go to another Hoss's again.

Service was good, salad bar was decent, my dinner was okay, but thought 18 bucks for 1 crab cake and a small amount of potatoes with salad bar was a bit much, my brother had a steak that was very tough and grisly, so, that he couldn't even eat it, he spent 25 bucks with salad bar. Not a fan.

I love going to Hoss's. It has become one of my favorite places to eat because of the service, the freshness of the food, and the location. The staff is very helpful and very nice. I wanted to point out the servers Jordan, Calli, and Laura in particular because they are the best servers I have had. They are very helpful, sweet, talkative. It is rare to find that in restaurants these days. Once again, Hoss's is my favorite place to eat.

Portions got smaller as prices got higher. Customers next to us were very loud and disrespectful and when staff was informed it was laughed off. I questioned if the Hoss's 12oz was still available and waitress had no clue what I was talking about. Evening ended with me becoming one with our toilet! STAY AWAY! This was once my favorite restaurant!

Pleasant surprise and glad we went. I can tell you I have not had a steak that good in a very long time. Props to the cook and the staff, great "salad" bar too! My 2 year old even ate with no issues:)
