Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Allentown/Dorney

This hotel was absolutely disgusting, made my skin crawl, I should’ve looked at previous reviews, the room was dirty, the toilet wouldn’t stop running, it smelled straight of cigarettes, and we didn’t even smoke in there, the hallways also stunk like cigarettes, the smell hits you as soon as you walk in.

First thing mouse droppings found in fold away sofa. Tubs are dirty. Jets in the whirlpool tubs is full of mold and black guck. The ac in the room is positioned directly on one of the beds.

The hallway was not clean. The sheets had small stains and hole. Sofa was old and worn. Table had grease on it.

This was the worst place I ever stayed in my life. To start, the check in was horrible. 100.00 deposit was insane for the condition of the room. Second the pool was dirty, moldy. In my room itself, the couch bed was dirty, had the prior persons mask, and clothing items there so housekeeping definitely wasn't up to par. The kicker was when going to shower one.of the towels WAS STILL DIRTY. I checked out early from my stay and the agent argued with me insyead.od apologizing for the condition. Avoid this place at all costs.

If I could give this place a zero star review I would. I had a suite for My family of six. Two queen beds and a pull out couch. The pull out couch was not as expected. It had no mattress, you read that right now mattress. What they consider to be a mattress was a half inch thick mattress topper on top of a black lining and 1*3 wood slats. That is what I had to sleep on. The bathroom door was falling apart and would not shut. The pool was cloudy and freezing so that could not be used. The other guests were loud and slammed doors all night long. I will never ever stay at a Howard Johnson ever again. If you take any thing from this pay the extra money for a better hotel.

Not recommended! It smells, it is outdated, poorly maintained, and the price is not matching the quality. This is in my opinion an understatement.

Hotel itself is older and in disrepair. The staff, though, are very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff work hard and keep it relatively clean. All in all, it was ok. What I dont like is that the images, descriptions, and photos advertisements are deceiving. They are completely wrong, and the actual interior is far from a match to those beautiful staged photos.

Dirty, moldy bug infested room. Mattress stained and smelled like urine and mold. Absolutely disgusting place!

The fridge didn't work. Microwave and fridge was dirty. Jacuzzi had to be cleaned. The chair had mold on it. I notified person on shift he corrected the issues. It should of been done before I even received the key to the room. He gave a 15% discount. I still won't go back.

This the worst Howard Johnson i been, holes in the wall. Paint peeling, sheets and pillows are dirty, got there at 2.39 they made us wait till 3.00pm to be checked in, actually there was a line of people waiting to be checked in because they refused to check anyone in before 3pm. And worse they were changing shifts so we had to wait till 3.30 because they were counting money.

Ew! Nasty smell small hallways dirty pool & Jacuzzi Don't go! I'd rather sleep in a barn then that. Don't even get me started on the view which was an old couch covered with 2 tarps and then behind it a truck
Dirty sink & microwave. And instead of being welcomed I saw the cheapest toilet paper ever!

Room was in poor condition. Constant maintenance issues. They gave me a slip of paper with some i formarion on it and on the back was somone elses full name and address. Im all for reusing paper but i expect privacy to be maintained.

Just bad. I went in got the only room FOR SMOKING IS THAT EVEN ALLOWD. I left completely discussed for what was in that hotel I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. PS CLEAN EVERYTHING

Location was good, really close to Dorney Park. Room was basic, however if all you need is a place to sleep for the night it's fine and affordable. The free breakfast was ok, nothing special - bagels, cereal, muffins and waffles; all store bought.

I havent even went in yet and i already hate it. Ive already seen like 5 people walking in with cans of beer

The people were very friendly but that was about as good as it got. We had a room for one night. $200.00 we got mold in the toilet and bathroom, something spilled all over the wall (looked like coffee). The room was in desperate need of a paint job! We went to the pool and there were 5 lounge chairs and that was it for a hotel that could hold 100's of people. They won't see me back there!

For the $120 not worth it. Extremely old needs remodeling. Breakfast is less than ok. Congenial office staff. Bed very comfy. That's all that I can make a positive about. Just need a bed for the night. Ok. But for that price not so sure.
