My son has seen a counselor at this office for years. He and my son discussed him discharging as he was doing very well. My son went through a short time crisis, which took them two weeks to get to us. By this time I had helped my son through it. The appt was scheduled, and my son patiently waited for the usual over the phone session. A person called from the office berating my son for not coming in the office. Then they rescheduled a appt for a morning session knowing my son always worked nights and always for years had a 4pm appt. Now he received a nasty letter from this office that really hurt him.my son is special needs and sometimes has a hard time processing. He doesnt understand why they viscously threw him out. His perception.why not just send a discharge paper to sign instead of being so aggressive? Shame on you! If I could give less stars you would receive not have any!

I had a horrible experience with these people. They basically dumped me after treating me like I was on probation. Don't you dare mess up a dose of a controlled substance they will make life pure h#ll. They gaslight their patients. I wish I could give zero stars.

Rude staff and they refused to give me a doctor who was staying. I didn't care for being tossed around between doctors.

Don't waste your time with this place. Dr. Anakuroo is horrible along with everyone else. Do you want to get better? If so, don't deal with this place.

This place is a joke! Their Children First Seminar is nothing but mysoginistic research! A complete waste of time and clearly a way for the county to make money! At $35 a class every time u petition to modify a custody order! I was ordered to go and this class had zero to do with me! Considering l dont have custody nor will there be visitation! Absolutely retarded!

This is absolutely the best counseling and psychiatry office I've been to as an adult. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful, and they've never come across as judgmental (which is important, given that I don't have the means to pursue some of the treatment options that might benefit me - they understand what's realistic versus what's ideal). My psychologist, Mark, is very knowledgeable but also willing to listen when he doesn't know something. I've seen several different psychiatrists, all of whom have been helpful, willing to discuss side effects, and willing to accept my decisions regarding individual medications, rather than pressing for a particular course of treatment regardless of my comfort level with it. Mental health care is a joint endeavor between the patient and the professional (s) and they seem to get that. As someone reliant on government-provided low-income health insurance, I really appreciate being able to see professionals who treat me with respect and who provide high quality care. (Having been to various clinics in another state while on Obamacare, let me tell you: Huntingdon C&P is excellent, even if their provider turnover rate has been high recently.)

I have gone here for mental health care for about 4 years. When Dr. McCubbins left so did patient care. I have struggled with the onslaught parade of new doctors that come and go so fast. The doctor they have now is indifferent to patients and their needs, up to and including alternative treatment options. If you want pills this is the place to go you will fit right in, If your looking to get better and explore other treatment options dont stop here. I have finally left this psychiatry office and seek a new doctor. Compassion is not on Huntingdon Counselings agenda.
