Hyatt House Pittsburgh/Bloomfield/Shadyside

Noisy pets at 6 am. Few bathroom amenities. No ice bucket. Fridge not working. Too hot and could not reset temp. Not recommending.

I would have given this hotel a 5/5 as the rooms, cleanliness, modern appeal and location are all fantastic. Where I felt this hotel came up short was on the service side.

I had this hotel booked for a room block for my wedding. We had several guests traveling in from out of state (almost half of our 100 person wedding) and we wanted to do a "Welcome cocktail" event on the Friday before the wedding. We made the hotel aware of this at the initial time of booking and they OK'd it.

About a month before the wedding, our event coordinator changed (I'm assuming she left) and a new event coordinator was introduced to us- her name was Talia. From this point on, communication was terrible with the hotel. I would email Talia and it would take 3-4 days before she would get back to me and when she did respond, she only partially answered my questions.

The week of my wedding, Talia reached out to me on Monday asking if I needed anything before our guests started arriving later that week. I sent her not only one, but two emails following up on the cocktail welcome event and some other questions. She never got back to me.

I'm sure you can guess it, but we had over 30 people here on Friday for the cocktail event and there was only one bartender. People on average were waiting almost 15 minutes to get a drink. The bartender noted that they were not informed about the cocktail event otherwise they would have brought in another bartender. Extremely frustrating.

I would recommend this hotel for a regular stay or vacation as the rooms are very nice, clean, and it's in a great location.but if you have to do anything with their event coordination staff, I would not recommend it.

The hotel is clean and bright nice building. The staff is great. Swimming pool is nice. Parking lot is well lit. Down side is it cost to park.

Nice suites but overcharged my card. General manager was nasty. Staff didn’t like him either.

Stayed in room 311. Sticky floor in the kitchen area. No lotion in the washroom. The coffee machine was broken. No paper cups or unused/clean glass to drink water or make coffee/tea. Well the coffee machine was broken anyway

Super clean room and bathroom. Included awesome breakfast with great options (e.g. Oatlmeal, cereal, breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bagels, juice, fruit, etc.)

Parking you have to pay, but it's in/out privileges and it's just outside the main interest. Walking distance to the shops in Shadyside, Carnegie Mellon and UPitt.

There is a pool, but on the smaller side. Great value!

Rooms are comfortable and well appointed for the guests who like to cook at least one of their meals. Breakfast options are good and nice to have when one is hungry in the morning and don’t want to cook.

The staff is helpful and friendly.

Location is great if you need to be near CMU or UPitt and don’t mind driving or taking a bus. It is walkable from/to those campuses if you run, walk or bike regularly. If you don’t, then car or bus (or ride share) are the options.

This is our favorite hotel when visiting family in Pittsburgh. The rooms are clean, updated, and nicely designed for comfortable longer term stay. The staff is always friendly and informative. Breakfast and good coffee is a plus. The location is ideal for our needs and I feel safe walking around the area.

Great experience here. I had flight cancelations where I had to adjust my reservation and the front desk and manager were very accommodating. The rooms are affordable and impeccably clean. The whole building is immaculate and updated. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking.

Really, passing through for two nights was great!

I was at the hotel for a week long conference. The bed was comfy and room was pretty nice. Outdoor fire pit and plenty of seating outdoors. The hotel does not serve meals other than breakfast which was meh. The bar is expensive. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance which are very good.

Nice convenient location. Easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops and the like. Rooms are clean and it is quiet. Would stay here again.

Breakfast was the most disgusting, obesity causing, scary options ever. Unhealthy, stale, dry food. They are so cheap they won’t even put fruit in the breakfast buffet. Just stay somewhere else please the workers are suspicious

In April, I drove my kids from New York to Ohio to visit my family. We stopped at the X Hotel in Pittsburg to break up the trip. After a long seven-hour drive we were so happy to arrive at such a beautiful hotel. Our room was more like a stylish apartment with a great view of the city, a modern kitchenette, and a separate living room area. The kids swam in the pool and we got a bite to eat before going to bed. The next day we were on our way to Columbus and I packed up all of our things and checked out. Little did I know that my kids had taken my iPad Pro (which I need for work) out of the bag while I was packing and left it on the sofa in the room. When I arrived at my sister's house, I saw an email from Alison with the subject “Lost and Found! ” They had found my iPad and tracked down my email! The hotel manager Meghan and Alison made sure my iPad was shipped to me immediately. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel and the staff. Beyond grateful for their kindness and follow-through.

I stay in this room but 2 months go I left some of my stuff in the room logged in that was stolen from me this place really sorry there should be a shame of them

My family traveled here to go to UMPC for surgery. We opted for the king suite with disability access, as my daughter has mobility issues. The room was large and spacious with enough room for her wheelchair but also not allowing it to impede or become a hassle to get around. The pull out couch was a nice space for my daughter to recover following surgery, as it allowed her to have her "own" space and we did not feel like we were ontop of each other. The room was very modern and updated, as well as clean.

The room was Perfect. I loved the art vibes, it was very clean and spacious. The Queen Suite with 1 bedroom is equipped with everything you will need for your stay i was quite impressed. The hospitality through out was much appreciated. Everyone here wore smiles and was very accomodating especially Carole and the other young man at the front desk. Great Job Hyatt House!
