Overall, really liked this hotel. But, you have to pay for parking in a garage across the street, not all of the channels came in properly, and although they did have hot items for breakfast it was more limited compared to other hotels I've been to in the past couple of years.

Nice little escape,
Parking next door is convenient but you do have to pay daily - hotel validates and charges you for it

Staffing is short, especially at night. Similar experiences in other hotels I'm sure. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool is quite subpar, both extremely small, cold, and without a hot tub to supplement that frigid water. The breakfast was well stocked and the staff was very accommodating to folks requesting alternative foods.

This Hotel doesn’t have a parking lot. You have to park in multiple park for the city. This garbage has no security. It a long walk up hill in the dark. With no handicap access.
This is a bad neighbor. The Gary hound bus terminal is close and I say open air drug exchange.
The view out of the room was a rundown build that boarded up. But they claim to be in historical Part they are not. Been close it not being in. Never write a review of anything in my life. This née to be but out there. Also the room had a sofa and a king bed the mount the tv where it cannot be seen in bed or in sofa. Never thing in the Hotel is old.

If you are considering this place because it has free breakfast and coffee run away! So bad and potentially unsafe. That’s supposed to be bacon. The coffee taste like it was filtered through an old refrigerator box.

It was fine. The rooms were very spacious but unsanitary the towels had dirty stains on them and the toilet was not clean.

It was ok. Stains in the carpet and chunk out of the wall covered by masking tape. Lobby was renovated but warm and muggy. Bed was soft and clean. Bathroom was worn looking, but updated mirror.

The staff wasn't friendly our incredibly rude, they just didn't seem like they wanted to be there.
We stayed twice and the first stay the room was nice except the bathroom. The wall was peeling badly and the tile was dingy.
The second stay the shower had a partial door so the bathroom floor would get soaked after a shower.

Very good, but the lobby and hallways were warm & humid. The room was nice, AC was working but the maids naver came to make our beds, leave clean linen, towels. Continental Breakfast was good, but it needs more variety of items.

Tasteful, refined, sumptuous environment with courteous, intelligent staff. A Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese break fast sandwich awaits you with fresh OJ & other tasty options,
adjoining is the outdoor patio accommodating smokers. A pleasant stay. Smart location with nearby pub and a brunch cafe next door.

Disappointed in the stay. The breakfast sucks. Parking was 8 dollars a day and not listed on the site. Pool said it was going to be closed but was open. Ants in the bathroom. No proper room service they said it would only be every 4 days anyway. Shampoos weren’t that great. Shower terribly small. When leaving there was spilled cereal in the doorway. Will not stay here again. It’s unfortunate as downtown Bethlehem is a wonderful history place to visit. On check out the staff wasn’t helpful to show an itemized bill. Lastly, the hotel sink drained terribly slowly.

There was an issue that the Hotel knew About and did not manage. Ultimately, the entire hotel

And guest had to evacuate bc of alarms and screaming after midnight.

It was a complete horror show.

The bathroom was horrible. Majority of the floor tiles were loose and missing grout. There were two large spots with bad water damage and the shower wall and tub area had mold in the grout all over. There were stains on the carpet all around the room and halls. Don't expect a real breakfast unless you think Jimmy Dean microwave sandwiches are a real breakfast. Very lack luster overall. The hotel uses a disgusting parking garage that stinks of urine but at least the hotel validates the parking for you. That was the one bright spot of my stay free parking. On one side of the hotel the neighborhood was not very safe and the other side was nice. So use caution while walking around.

Nice accommodations. Rooms are large, clean, simple, yet modern. Nice big couch and desk area. Big tv. None of the outdated frills you find at other comparable hotels so it's easy on the eyes. Lobby is pretty and modern.

Listing for this hotel was a little deceptive. There is one tiny outdoor patio with one table. Absolutely no good view from rooms. Tiny pool. And parking wasn't free despite all the booking websites saying it is.

It is convenient to downtown Bethlehem and a good jumping off point to neighboring attractions.

Great size room, comfort, privacy. Breakfast was more like a comfort inn style, disappointing. No pool. Also disappointing. Other hotels have already figured out how to re-open.

Room had standing water in rug and in bathroom. Very musty smell. Staff ignored my complant. Staff never showed up to correct the problem. Bathroom had dirt and hair on floor. Air conditioner worked ok. Heat did not work. Did not have any catv for whole day. World of Hyatt had free day promotion. Manager said their hotel does not participate. One of their front desk clerks, Chelsey, was a smarty and and was very ignorant. Not people friendly. She represents the entire hotel. Gave me false formation at check out. She said us guests can go anywhere else, even hell, if we had problems during our stay. This hotel is the worst. Will never return to this hotel again unless this hotel acts and operates as a clean and heathy and profesional place to stay.

I chose just ok because I am a fan of the Hyatt Place hotel chain and this one was ok. I was expecting to get into the indoor pool, but it was closed. I actually had my swimming trunks with me.: - (

I will say that the cold air from the a.c. In the room was wonderful! However, black lent from the a.c. Kept being blown on the bed. I also realized toward the end of my stay that when I flipped over one of the sheets on my bed, it was dried up blood on it. It wasn't from me. So apparently the cleaning crew washed it instead of throwing it away. Really?

Lastly, the shower stall is very narrow and it's weird that the glass doesn't stretch the entire length of the stall. It's a very weird setup. Water was getting on the floor.

Although I liked the cold air most of the setup in the room, I would not stay here again.

Update:

All of my criticisms below stand. However, I did talk to the general manager Keith who straightened out the cost issues. I never got an apology and I never heard back from Katie Labor.

Furthermore, the woman who was rude to me at breakfast service and shut it down moments after I arrived without any warning, is named Casey. She is the one who rudely checked me out and definitely has an attitude problem. I wish I could say otherwise. In conclusion: the lobby, overflowing garbage cans, elevator, Air conditioning broken for over a month in the public areas and the atrocious breakfast as well as the check in/check out process discourage me from ever coming back. The room was nice, cool, and Keith straightened out the cost overcharge but it caused a lot of stress and work. Now to my original review.

Where to begin?

Check-in.  Checked in by Kevin who gave me the best rate I found on the internet with my Senior discount.  However, I trusted him and did not double check that this is what he indeed did.  Well I did not get the best rate ($116).

I told Kevin I wanted stay 1 to 3 nights, maybe 5 if I could get the same rate on the weekend (nights 4 and 5).  I verified that if I checked out after 1,2,3 nights the rate was always the same.  And that I would make a last minute decision about staying longer, with no cost penalty.   Same price per night for 1,2 or 3 (with 4 or 5 to be checked on).   Kevin confirmed, reiterated this, and even put it in writing (daily cost). I did not ask him to write a treatise with all the details - we had a clear understanding. Price stable for 1 2 or 3 nights, my plans are in flux.   No reason to not trust him. I confirmed it all verbally with nightly charge in writing.

Presentation:  No functional AC in the hot and humid lobby nor in the sweltering hot elevators or any of the hallways or breakfast room.  Air Conditioner has been broken for at least a month with no ETA to repair it.

Garbage cans in hallway overflowing for hours, breakfast was pathetic.  Choice of Jimmy Dean sausage patty sandwich already factory assembled, and wrapped or Jimmy Dean bagel with yellow crud (egg?), cheese and I think same sausage, prepared.  They just microwaved them in their sealed paper.  Only bananas for fruit, etc.  Got there 8: 59.  At 9: 00 all gone.  Not even a warning. Water and juice in open pitchers, not sealed containers.
Room was nice, spacious, clean, good wifi.

Ongoing checkout and departure:  At 2nd night, informed night clerk I intend to check out tomorrow, and I want to see estimated bill and verify everything is in order so smooth checkout.     Nope.   Price jumped up on the 2nd night almost $30. So I need to see the manager on checkout day.

Manager's name is Katie Labor.  I asked the front desk for manager's contact information.  Katie did not make an appearance today (my last day).  I was previously told that she had the say on extending my promised first 3 night rate over the weekend (I probably would have stayed if price was extended, but not now unless all is straightened out in the morning, which I can not imagine).

What about when I check out and need to deal with her about overcharges?  She will not get in until after 3 PM!  Check-out is however 12 Noon. Therefore no way to resolve, unless people in morning, who probably do not have authority to make any decisions, are deputized to straighten it out.

So I am now dreading the inevitable credit card dispute process, at best, and hours of phone conversations, letters, and the dispute process at worst. I was willing, and still am, to pay exactly what I had agreed to as clearly and as thoroughly as I could establish.

Maybe Katie Labor will straighten it all out tomorrow, but I highly doubt it. I will shoot her an email tonight.  If she does gracefully, I will change my review and return in the future. I will be regularly visiting the Allentown-Bethlehem area in the near future.

Otherwise, I will duplicate this review on the other sites, and send to the hotel management company.
