Contacted IHS about installing a new walk in shower-had trouble with our old unit for a while. Very reasonable estimate. They installed an ONYX model shower, and we couldn’t be more pleased. The quality of the shower is fantastic, as was the quality of the work done by IHS and their team. From demo to install, only 2 days total. Highly Recommend IHS and ONYX products!

My father in law needed an exterior ramp added to his house. Darren came out and worked out a great solution that also preserved the existing entrance to the house. He took the time to review all of the options and the pros and cons of different materials that could be used on the project. The wait time for parts from the manufacturer was reasonable and the installation could not have gone better or more efficiently. Thank you to the Independent Home Solutions team for installing a stairlift in my mother’s house. She can now get up to her bedroom and bathroom. Staying in her house is much less expensive than moving into a nursing home and gives her more freedom.

Our Church, St. Paul’s UMC in Elizabethtown had a family that needed a Chair Lift installed for a family member to reach the second floor of their home. We were fortunate that a family donated a used Chair Lift for use but we needed to install it. We wanted to make sure it was professionally installed and decided to look for a firm that would work with us to evaluate the donated lift and help the family with planning and installation of the Chair Lift.

I can’t say enough positive things about this company! Several years ago we purchased a stairlift from another company and the customer service was LOUSY! (Especially AFTER the purchase) Believe me, that is not what you want from a company that sells and services independent home living products!

Long story short, about a year ago I contacted this company and spoke with Rick. He gave me all the time I needed to explain the issue and made an appointment. He took care of the issue lickety-split and even took some extra time to educate me regarding some questions I had.

Fast-forward to Approximately a week ago when we decided to have another stairlift installed that would help my daughter go from the main floor to the finished basement. Rick and his fantastic customer service is the reason we chose this company versus the previous company. Rick came out again and took some quick measurements, asked some questions regarding preferences and gave what I believe to be a very very fair price!

We made an appointment for this morning at 10 AM. Rick and his partner arrived right on time and before I knew it the stairlift was installed and Rick and I were testing it out. Not only did it look beautiful, but my daughter is now able to enjoy a different level of the house that she has not been able to for the last five years! A quick 45 second ride and with no pain and she is at the bottom of the stairs. Really put a smile on my face, and hers!

Before Rick left he made sure I had all of his contact information including his cell number and he told me not to hesitate if I had any questions or any issues. (A quick sidenote) I’m a pretty good judge of a person‘s character and I can tell you that Rick takes pride in what he does and he goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is satisfied and safe. Rick is a very good guy and so is the company!

Rick and IHS were extremely helpful and professional installing our stairlift after my amputation. They were able to help us very quickly and efficiently. I would recommend their services to anyone with special needs.

My 93 year old mother is in a nursing facility that now has "in room" quarantine. She is in a Lift Chair 24/7. Her 6 year old chair (not from IHS) stopped working over the weekend. I contacted Darren through IHS website and he called me Monday morning. He had a selection a of Lift Chairs in the showroom and texted specifications and photos to me. When I arrived at the showroom, John showed me the features of the Lift Chair and then put it into my vehicle! I was able to deliver it to the nursing home. My mother loves her new chair. Darren and John @ IHS helped to make my mother's living situation safe and comfortable!

IHS recently installed a chair lift for my 85 year old grandmother. I would highly recommend the company to anyone needing a chair lift. The product is amazing and so easy to use. Rick installed the chair quickly and showed me how it operates. I love that it folds up out of the way when we are not using it. Grams is so happy now that she does not have to walk up the stairs.
