Island Sun Tanning, Huntingdon Valley PA

The staff is friendly and the place is clean. They have great clothing and accessories that my girlfriend loves. And they price match their lotions and toners, which is pretty cool. It'd be nice if the hours they are open were longer / more, but I understand cause they say it's not one of their higher-volume salons. I make it work and am grateful.

I changed tanning salons because Island Sun had offered later evening hours. I drove all the way up from Abington Township last week. Get there, the door was open, walked in but the second I did I was told by an extremely and unprofessionally rude girl as she was closing out the register w/ cash in hand that she was closed and that their hours changed. Who counts register cash with an unlocked business door? She said they'd been posted the hours on their front door. Asking how the heck I was supposed to know their hours changed if they had not sent out an advising blast email to customers. I said who's is going to make a 20 or 30 minute trip while there're soaring gas prices to check and see if hours had changed. She refused to let me tan. I told her how far I'd just driven and had puposely ordered a pizza for my son since I was not home to make him dinner this night. Gas wasted, dinner money wasted and treated like dirt by a girl whom after I told her how far I'd just driven said to me, "Well I just want to go home". She was unprofessional, not nice and has no idea what customer service entails. Yesterday I see an email from my credit card that it had just been charged $86.00 from Island Sun. Talk about slapping in the face. I guess Island Sun needs a lesson on interview and hiring practices.
If you want to make it right credit my account for my wasted gas. Better yet pick up the telephone.don't make the customer do all your work.

Been going here for years on and off. I just love all the girls that work here, so friendly and helpful. The clothes are so cute also. So many lotions to choose from!

I love coming here! I personally love Mackenzie always having such a positive attitude and smile, but all the girls are honestly amazing. Many lotions to pick from, and beautiful clothes.

I feel that this place is a good place to go for the money. Clean place as well.
