Always our favorite place to end our camping season! Beautiful, serene, foliage changing, clean, spacious campsites.

I took my children on a 5k here and they beat me by a long shot! My goal is to keep up with them on the next run. Great place! We all enjoyed ourselves.

Great site until they decided to mow. Gravel thrown everywhere when mower crossed the road and he ran over my dogs tie out cable while she was tied to it (service dog, the cable smacked me in the face and arm. Bruise on arm and cable cut. Now I have to go buy a new tie out cable. If I hadn’t moved our solar panels, I am sure the wrecklace mower driver would have busted them. Didn’t know they mowed where people were set up.

Swimming area is nice and clean butt the ladies bathroom was filthy. Like mud, dirt and lots of other nasty debri all over the floors and sinks. 2 sinks were covered in black stuff. No soap ether. Very disappointed today because this place usually is way cleaner than that

Here at campground no fun, all rules, they say you can have 7 people at one site and then hit you with a but you can only have 2 tents. So. We had to take our 3rd tent down. I did see it in the handy dandy campground handbook afterwards so my bad but come on guys it would have been just fine. But packing into 2 tents with 7 people is probably a fun game if you're up for it, get real close and personal game. And then don't even think about putting a hammock up! Ranger dad will come over and put his foot down but don't worry, if you have an RV you're totally fine. It's just us no good tent folk that have to take ours down. Kinda shocked we were even allowed to have a fire. Anyway. If you want to be supervised the whole time you're there, this is the place for you! The lake did nothing wrong though. It's purdy, but not enough to stay at sergeants campground again.

What a beautiful park! Came here Labour Day weekend and it was packed but there is so much space between sites you don’t feel crowded at all. Every road that takes you to sites does a loop at the bottom which makes manoeuvring very easy. Would definitely recommend this park if you enjoy large spots and a big lake to fish in if you wish.
I did talk to another person that was here in early June and they said the gypsy moths were very bad. But for our 4 days in September it was absolutely fantastic!

We met with some family at this park and had a cookout over Labor Day weekend. The weather was great and the park facility was fantastic. There are bathrooms close to the pavilions and the lake is just a short walk away. The kids were able to play in the open grass areas but there was still plenty of shade from trees nearby at the edges of the clearings. This is the second time we've met at this park and will do it again soon!

We had a great time at this campground. Beautiful setting and big sites. We also had a paved site which was great! Fortunately we have a camper with bathroom and shower because the campground bathrooms were the worst I've ever seen. Most likely haven't been cleaned this year, nor did they ever put paper products in them. They are disgusting

Didn't know the swimming area was concrete not sand. Grass had to much clover which meant lots of bees. And the beach isn't really that big. I will continue to go to Hills Creek.

My fiancé and I stayed in the tent camping area (Pine Camp) and were sorely disappointed. The "bathroom" closest was a toilet seat over a tube directly above whar looked like a septic tank. No sinks. No running water. We asked campground staff if they could turn on the potable water faucet and were told "We may do that, we may not. "
Additionally, the other "comfort station" was 1 mile away and "cleaned periodically" according to the signage. Park rangers heavily policed tent campers but said nothing to RV campers. This included allowing RV campers to park in tent camping locations and run their generators all night, despite there being quiet hours from 10pm to 6am (which is stated to include generators in their rules and regulations). Do NOT recommend for tent camping. We certainly will not be returning in the future.

I was torn on whether I should give this campground 3 or 4 stars. I gave it 3 and here's why.
First, it's a very nice Corps of Engineers campground. We usually go to PA state campgrounds and if you didn't know it was C. O. E.you'd assume that it was a PA state campground. Ives Run campground is on a beautiful lake and allows motor boats with no horsepower restrictions so if you're into fishing and or pleasure boating you're good to go. There are also boat slips that you can rent while you're there. The sites are very nice. They are all paved (except for the non-electric boondocking sites, adjacent to the main campground), mostly level and in good condition. There's lots to do at this campground. Watersports, fishing, swimming, hiking, athletic fields, live music, and educational activities are all available here. That's the good stuff. Here's the less than good and the bad.
The campground has trees but is not what I would call "foresty". There are sites that are shaded but most will have some shade or no shade, and if you're looking for privacy or even a little, you won't have that here. That said, I can deal with that on occasion. Many of the reviews I read had described the sites as being spacious. They are about as spacious as any PA State campground but without the trees so maybe some people get the feeling that the sites are more spacious but they're not and without the privacy it's really a moot point. Now the bad.the facilities are not updated and some of the bathhouses are borderline unacceptable. The facilities at PA State campgrounds are much more updated and cleaner. Now, this campground is serviced by volunteers only, not state employees which could be a contributing factor regarding the condition of the facilities. Just pure lack of funding and or lack of volunteers. If the facilities were updated. I would give this campground 5 stars. The rest of the property grounds were well kept.

Very nice campground.spacious areas with nice picnic tables. Bath houses near by were clean and well maintained.

Beautiful campground! Unfortunately no one cleans the restrooms, or even keeps up with general maintenance on the restrooms. It's great if your camper has it's own facilities, but not worth the money if you need to use the restrooms. This is a better day trip, camp somewhere else.

We had a great time and it’s a beautiful camp ground. However the tree caterpillars are horrible. There everywhere! Our camper, our truck and all our belongings are covered in caterpillars, caterpillar droppings. All the trees are loaded and completely eaten up by these pest.

This Lake/Camp grounds is absolutely beautiful. I have had my child's last two birthdays there. Camping here was awesome. I wish I could have had more time, especially for fishing!

They now have a nine-hole disk golf course. It’s not super challenging, but it’s about the only one in the area.

No frills, but if you want a beautiful, relaxing campground this is it. The views are breathtaking and it's so quiet. Had a spectacular time here!

Updated from a previous, not so positive review.

Much better this year (8/2021). The rest rooms were well maintained and the self flushing facilities were a welcome addition. The grass in the campsites as well as common areas was well kept, and the camp hosts made frequent trips around the loops to ensure campers' were able to experience the joys of camping. And unlike previous years, the camp hosts kept a sign indicating they were on duty during the day and evening.

Significant improvement over recent years and the work of the staff and volunteers was greatly appreciated.

The most beautiful Army Corp of Engineers park in America is what someone posted previously and rightly so.
