It has been a year, almost to the day, that I had my 2007 beige VW New Beetle-purchased here in November 2021-serviced by Bertolet. It was a negative experience.

I live 88 miles away and had to stay overnight in the vicinity because a necessary part had not come in. (I was not offered even partial reimbursement for my lodging.)

But even worse, when the car was finished the next day, the interior was a mess! A large casing had been removed from the console between the front seats and left on the floor in the back. There were greasy black fingertip prints on the beige interior of the passenger door. I showed the casing to the service dept.manager and expected that he would come out and install it properly. He did not budge.

Over the years, I have had numerous vehicles serviced by many mechanics and never had one returned without being reassembled and wiped down, sometimes even vacuumed. I can't believe that a dealership would allow its customers to be treated so shabbily.

Perhaps the service personnel are more professional and accommodating to local drivers, but I HAD purchased my car there-it was still under warranty-yet my Bertolet VW and I were shown no respect.

This is the second vehicle I have purchased from J. Bertolet and have had cars serviced there as well. I can’t say enough positive things about them. I have purchased one vehicle in 2020 and then another in 2022. Both transactions were smooth and easy. There were no high pressured salesmen. Just a lot of friendly helpful people that were fair with everything they did. This latest purchase I completed with Austin and it was everything I could have hoped for in buying a new car. He was able to work with me to get me the exact vehicle I wanted (which was actually being shipped to another dealership but because I wanted to deal directly with Bertolet only they worked out a trade with the other dealer so this could be done), got me a slightly better interest rate than the one I presented to them, and kept my payments exactly where I needed them to be. He prepped all numbers for me prior to my purchase, communicated through text, and I had no surprises when I went to sign everything at the dealership. I try to do my homework with purchases, especially big ones like these, and both transactions (especially this one in 2022) was the first time that I truly felt I really did get the best deal I could have gotten and got the exact car I wanted. I will follow up using them to service my vehicle as I have with my 2020 as well. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to be able to car shop and just get real honest people that just want to help you buy a car instead of feeling like they are convincing you to buy a car.

I’ve now bought two cars from J. Bertolet. I went out of my way to go to them to buy my car as there were other dealerships closer. This is absolutely the best dealership I’ve ever been to. They aren’t pushy, don’t try to sell you what you don’t need or want, and super friendly. Andy, George, and John III were just the best and greeted us as old friends when we walked through the door. They are still as helpful after the sale as well. You will never go to a better dealership than this.

I like dealing with Bertolet which is the dealership where I purchased my Atlas. It's clean, I have a place to sit and work and the
work is completed in a timely fashion.

We purchased our Tiguan from them and the process was very straightforward and quick (by car purchasing standards lol). Andy, George, and John we ALL very helpful and knowledgeable. They made our shopping experience joyful as opposed to stressful.

J. Bertolet Volkswagen made servicing my Passat really easy and convenient for me. They did all requested services and more and finished earlier than expected.

Very very nice and kind people never have any problems at all they get straight to the point and get it done. I’ve been there for throttle body, control arms, vacuum pump seal, oil changes etc…. Everything got handled and I have never had a problem since and my car runs 100% better and more efficient. Whatever you need for your beautiful baby they can surely do. Big thanks to the guys at volkswagon for everything they’ve done, very much appreciate it.

I recommend going through J. Bertolet Volkswagen! George made the whole experience super easy and he kept communication with me through out the week. I bought a certified used 2019 Tiguan SEL, that has everything I could imagine. When I test drove the car, it still needed to get inspected through their shop. George kept me updated on the status of the car, and has gone above and beyond after I already have the car! He made my first experience buying a car at a dealership so stress free!
